Hahaha. I mean, at least it looks like Blizzard is finally being honest about one aspect of their story. I’m happy for Baine. I hope he enjoys sleeping at the end of Anduin’s bed.
I actually just noticed what was weird about the screenshot. Lol, oh Baine you boot licker.
This is one reason why the Horde is still not on the same page some Horde players will never support Baine or Saurfang cause they did not do it cause of what happen during the war but cause of one undead that was going to be used a tool to kill members of a important family. The other cause noone in the Horde really had a problem with a tree being burn so he wanted the Alliance to do the dirty work for him then he was let go by said Alliance to try to form a rebel group that was badly undersize.
So, I went looking for this in the PTR and I don’t see it. Either it was a bug they very quickly fixed… or the image was doctored.
Furthermore, after the scenario where he shows up in the background if you return he is just… gone, now. My guess would be lorewise he was there as an ambassador for the Armistice agreement.
It speaks volumes people are so ready to believe it is real, though.
I just got off the PTR and he was in the Alliance throne room talking to Valera. My alliance character was summoned there by Anduin for N’Zoth shenanigans.
This reminds me, way back before WoD was announced there were rumors Dwarves and Tauren would go neutral.
Hilarious.
Is that in live, because usually we only see those kinds of freudian slips in beta?
I mean… if any horde race I’d welcome the Tauren into the alliance.
But… does this mean that horde players can kill Baine?
Ptr currently
Ah, that makes sense.
This can be fixed if the devs replaced Baine Bloodhoof with Tyrathan Knort.
The point is to actually have a new age of peace(for a while at least) where both sides are not trying to kill each other every other expansion.
I’d also point out no one called Thrall out when one of his deepest thought was revealed to be going to Varian back in Cata, lying down his arm and suing for peace. Hell, if anything Baine’s current attempt at peace is a fulfillment of Thrall’s wish.
We can always hope.
Yeah! I like Baine but I can’t stand playing Horde for more than a few minutes every couple years so I’m glad to have him on my side!
Same. I’ve got no beef with them.
maybe a little bit of beef though

Baine and the Tauren have more in common with the alliance at this point anyways. Being saved a decade or two ago isn’t going to be an excuse to remain in the horde forever
No return policy.
Too bad Blizzard doesn’t have the guts to move away from faction division. It’s about time we start seeing more cross faction interactions. If they are not ready for players at least we need to see faction leaders or relevant NPCs hang out or talk to each other. That would give the impression that peace is achievable. Right now as a NE player I’m just waiting for the next time the Horde feels like chopping down another of my zones. (Of course by Horde I mean Blizzard horrible way of writing the red team not the playerbase).
