Bag and bank purge

Took almost 4 hours but I’m done. X_X 32 Toons, Banks Emptied of anything pointless, all 11 bags on each toon swapped out for 32 slots, the old Hexweave Bags tossed. (And got 11 Bags each and a Revered Guild Tabard + 20 Pet Bandages ready for my Lightforged Rogue and Evoker in the coming weeks)

I’m exhausted lol.

I did re-discover (which I do every few years lol) these:

In my OG toon’s bank. Apparently they’re worth a lot, but I don’t really think I’d have luck finding someone to buy them for a lot. xD They’re just bracers.

I sold SO MANY glimmers.

Prepatch bank cleanup is honestly the best feeling. I have this thing where i store a season’s gear into a bag (ie i have my full corruption set from bfa s4, which funny enough is what i ended up using for mage tower since the slots had sockets and better stat allocation) so for me the cleanup won’t be complete until i’ve replaced all of my eternal gear with DF gear, but it feels great regardless destroying/vendoring all the random pve trinkets and junk i’ve had since season 1 in case they’d ever become good or necessary

I really like going back and finishing older content solo, so no. I also have a bunch of pets and things to make still.

That said, today is super exciting to me. We get increased stacking of materials and some potions and such. I can’t wait to clean up the banks and bags!

I will be organizing all the things pre-DF.

Thankfully DF also gives us a reagent bag slot in our backpack. It does help and tailors can make a new one pretty fast. You also get one from a quest pretty early in.

I’m doing it right now :person_shrugging:

That is a ton of work! I am waiting until post patch so I can turn those piles of cloth, thread, etc into 1000 stacks instead of 200.

I always empty my inventory and typically my quest log before starting a new expansion. Stuff like crafting mats I will move to a storage alt but otherwise it is sell, sell, sell!

Abso-Posi-Lutely! Briefly balked at offloading a few items, but then realized that I havent touched said items in months. Anything I was hoping to auction just got vendored. Auction house prices for mats, at this point, is a joke. I COULD auction the rest of my cloth…and make 50g… not worth the effort to me. CLEAN HOUSE!!!

I used the AH. Ended up making about 125k off of mats that I’d never get to. Also never touched what I have on my main so still plenty of meats to cook with and do some enchants for the bank.

I’ll get around to that sometime in the next few weeks.

Pretty much. A couple weeks ago I cleaned out all my banks and sent it to my banker who began listing it all in the AH. Sold most everything so far except some high priced transmog and battle pets.

I’m working on it and the cross-realm consumables on the AH is the thing that’s really making me do it. For stuff I was stockpiling to maybe sell at a good price, with cross-realm the price either took a dump (or less likely, appreciated) and either way it’s as good a time as ever to sell for a speedy sale instead of relisting dozens of times before it sells. For mats I was saving to craft some obscure thing for my own transmog but I need to collect some BoP or something, I can sell the mats for cheap now and buy them cheap later “when I get around to it.”

Basically the concept of I might need some weird mat from an xpac 10+ years ago so if I have it I better hang on to it, that’s gone for good. It will always be available on cross-realm AH, probably cheap. It’s a very freeing feeling.

I did I purged all my crafting mats for Alchemy

I did a purge of a bunch of obsolete crud, and stuff I will never use. Moved everything of any use from my Alts to my main.

I did, but not necessarily to make space. I needed to make game time gold… and I barely made it. Had to do callings (ew) on a few toons to get there, but I got there… lol

True story. At the start of Legion I finally got an old account restored to me that had been idle for almost a decade, maybe a little more. I’d lost access to the Email account (it had been through an ISP in a state I no longer lived in) and it just took me forever to convince Blizzard that it was mine.

When I finally got it back, they folded it in under my existing account (two accounts, but one Battletag).

I thought it would be a good idea to put some old things I had on the AH because it wasn’t possible to make or buy them any more and people might like a souvenir.

I had about 10,000 arrows and an AH mod that let me auto-post auctions with whatever quantity and price I wanted so I dumped them all up at 10 per auction for a silver each.

Being nice, right?

Two days later almost all of those came back to my mailbox.

Holy heck.

I literally spent 8 hours just “get all mail” (it would only let me get about 40 at a time and then it would lock up) then throwing away arrows then “get all mail” (later, rinse, repeat) until I get my box cleared out.

Ooops.

Already done on main and alts.

Made quite a bit of gold too, at least a months sub worth, considering it had all been sitting in the GB for a very long time, it was literally money in the bank.

Purged Guild Bank also bar one tab for SL mats (personal GB).

I think some stuff from SL is going to continue to be valuable for things like timewalking and Mage Tower gear and speed sets for twinks and other low level characters, so I’m not getting rid of my stuff

I needed to make room for DF stuff. My bags and banks were stuffed full. Once I got started, I auction house anything with value and vendored the rest.
