Bad writing vs. Controversial writing

Saurfang abandoned his people to sulk. If he had any doubts about the Horde and its leadership, he should have called Mak’gora on the spot. I have no idea why he wouldn’t. That is LITERALLY what it is for. If he wins, he gets to steer “his Horde” as he pleases. If he dies, he gets his honorable death that he continually says he wants in a way that at least makes SOME attempt to be in service for his people.

Instead, he chooses to try and kill himself against the Alliance twice in what amounts to taking the selfish way out, because if he had been successful, it still left the Horde in the hands of what he sees as a tyrant. Then, on top of having already spared Malfurion for no logical reason (the writing wants us to believe it was emotional but it makes absolutely no sense), he flat out ADMITS that he spared Anduin’s life because he hoped that the Alli would win.

So not only did he abandon his people but now he is actively fighting against them with the aid of the enemy. Everything they have done with Saurfang has pissed me off because he used to be my hero, and now he has proven himself to be a coward and a traitor just for the sake of jumping the story through the hoops the writers need to somehow make sense of this garbage plotline.
