YEP. Or even better, when people got warlocks and mages mixed up and you would get someone demanding a portal somewhere.

This, be it noted, was part of the draw for playing Paladin or Warlock back in the day. All we needed at 40 was the cost of training the spell to summon our class mount.

Oh boy, you aint’ lyin’. That was a workout, even at level 70, which is when I eventually got around to doing the Charger quest line, and then turning around to help my brother on the Warlock equivalent.

I remember getting gold for flying was fairly easy, but getting gold for epic flying was a bit of a grind.

IIRC it was a measely 5k gold. which means nothing now. I have 3.4 million gold right now and I know there are people with gold cap on like 12 characters.

Same. I remember even when mining, you’d have to keep chipping away at the node. It wasn’t just one swift cast time. It was slower, and you had to do it over and over, and also another player could come in and also mine and steal some of it. There was no XP awarded too.

One thing I do miss is the people pvping in front of the cities. In orgrimmar, if you wanted to practice pvp, you’d find a row of people willing to duel.
