wdym? the new ceo needs a yatch too…
The CEO has nothing to do with the daily operations and development of WoW. All they care about is that it remains profitable. The people who went to school to learn how to design games to best exploit the customer and maximize profits are the ones who are responsible for the state of the game.
not gonna happen
have fun with inflation and gdkps
The casual linkage in the thread title of the now former ceo to tacit approval/facilitation of botting was too hilarious for me to successfully attempt to read further.
My apologies, opie.
You tried.
Fp2 MMO games are alive 15+ years after But world of warcraft can’t last without the money from bots? This is a joke, retail has sub + cash shop + token, and now wotlk…
If they care about their games, they should be the company #1 in PC still, But they don’t. WoW is the Best example, the Game feels garbage when You see tons of bots farming, You feel like a loser wasting your time because the prices and the effort are not worth, thats why people Buy gold/token…
You think being owned by Microsoft is financial freedom? Blizzard has to perform even better now to show that they are profitable or else their leadership faces pay cuts or being terminated. Bots have to pay a sub so good luck
and from what i hear, halo is doin lil better than it is now, with fire fight and spawning mobs in forge mode
then again i stopped playin halo after tryin infinite.
Birds of a feather.
Ask to Bethesda how they could not be able to end starfield without Microsoft. Also day 1 in Game pass, need to Say more? We are paying subs for some reasons and Blizzard is not using any portion of that money into the fight vs bots. F2p Games are always updating content, this is a sub based Game still, classic era was the same Game with some minor changes but era has 0 new content. Sod runes and bfd are the “new” things, recycled from other expansions .
The money froms subs was going to new yatch ofc.
Ive seen plenty of bots being banned.
something something the Hydra from Greek mythology…
I have no idea what youre trying to say. Every bot ive reported is gone. People need to be specific. Blizzard is banning bots in high traffic areas. Its the ones out in the middle of nowhere or in dungeons that need to be banned.
Games like this don’t exist in art form, they exist to farm you for profits. It doesn’t matter who the CEO is, if the earnings report doesn’t emphasize a loss in revenue due to bots, or a gain in revenue due to bot banning, then nothing will change.
Dude bro thinks Bobby kottik is why there’s bots.
Bots won’t go until the investigations and bans happen within a few days of reporting, and people who buy gold have their account, or at least their gold, deleted.
What I mean, is the bot gets banned (Hydra head cut off). But new bot accounts are being spun up faster than they are banned.
Fun Fact: I had my alt account 6-month banned for AFK Fishing. ((To be clear, I was still at the computer and just wanted to watch Netflix while I fished. Lesson learned!)) Anyways, I appealed about 4 months in. And the response was ‘no can do’. But…I could make a new WoW account (not Bnet account) up on the same Bnet with the suspended WoW Account and immediately start playing again. This right here is why the bot banning is a joke. They can literally just make a new WoW Account and keep going.
Nope. The yearly sub would be over $300 even after the discount for paying yearly.
The game could be free to play with account limitations until a certain level and you’d achieve the same or better outcomes. A good farmer won’t throw away their main characters for sales, and if the level to unlock trade, pub chat, gbank, mail to others was set high enough it wouldn’t be worth the time for a few sales compared to their current mass use of level 1’s that get deleted. You could even still offer a paid option to unlock earlier and well, you’d just need in a similar situation to where we are now. But it gives Blizz an opportunity to change how and what are acceptable payment method so they can better track down gold farmers.
Kotick is out but the woke writers are still in! Yay…
OP is 20 years old and thinks Microsoft is a game development company…
Don’t hold your breath. They aren’t a game dev company. Microsoft takes a hands-off approach when it comes to the game studios they own.
343 killed the Halo franchise over a long period of time while Microsoft let it happen sitting around doing nothing.
Remember the days when you’d put in a ticket and a gm would answer you relatively fast in game? Not no more
Like he was in the executive suite, rubbing his hands togther, counting bots and stacking bands. Grow up.
