iOS itself is extremely strict and kills any app that’s been idle for 10 minutes. Trust me on this, I’ve spent nearly half my adult life building apps for a living. I know a thing or two about this stuff.

lol.

No it can’t.

But you, who have no apps on your phone, would no better than those of us who have previously used the app in question I guess.

They will take all your info. Don’t be so gullible. How many times does it take someone to be lied to before they realize what’s actually happening?

Yes I’ve seen the clickbait video, and he’s dead wrong.

Oh, is that the dude that makes a huge fuss over literally everything?

Blizzard has problems, but that guy takes minute details and tries to turn them into cataclysmic events.

and some random guy in chat is right?..lol.

No offense, but the guy you linked is a bit notorious for clickbaity videos with little basis.

Rageporn gets clicks, and for him clicks == money.

A career app developer is going to have a much better clue than some random youtuber. Anybody can record themselves on a webcam.

yea i thought it would get them riled up:)

So does Facebook, Twitter, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. then.

They all ask for the same, if not more, permissions.

But the venue that Blizzcon is held at uses this company and it’s app for tickets, so it must be a conspiracy and no good.

Debunked? thats not how it works.

That redditor basically just use his own personal experience using the app, he didn’t debunk anything

If you read AXS terms of use you can find this one

We reserve the right to share your Personal Information with our current or future affiliated entities, subsidiaries, and parent companies,” says AXS’ privacy policy. “We may also share your Personal Information and other information with trusted third parties, such as our Partners, sponsors, or their affiliates and subsidiaries and other related entities for marketing, advertising, or other commercial purposes, and we may occasionally allow third parties to access certain Sites for marketing purposes.

If you read the review of their service you can find this

Sure for some people that isn’t tech noobies, they can turn off their GPS, but the average people using this apps wont know about all this access thingy will just press yes everytime, because they trust blizzard, not knowing full well that AXS is just a third party company.

And for the record, you cant really track personal data breach, it doesnt work that way, when it happen, it happens and you wont know it.

Right, because the world’s second largest ticketing app (behind Ticketmaster’s) is run by a company operated on noble principles you should be thrilled to use?

I don’t care if their app is spyware or not, Ticketing companies aren’t your friend regardless, and it’s just more of the same from 2019 ActiBliz to require their use to attend their convention that they charge you a premium to attend.

Of course the fanatical are fine with it, they think a $550 ticket this year is a gift.
They think WoW in its current state is fine.

Let them get what they deserve.

So you’re being deliberately inflammatory?

making people aware we will say.

Guess what, it says the same thing in the privacy policy for ANY app. They all have a paragraph or more about who they can share your info with.

Why is it that THIS app is the one everyone is in twist about?

If you use almost any app on your phone, you’ve given that company the same “rights” to sell your info.

You don’t have to turn off your GPS, just don’t give the app location access when it asks for it. Watch the video I posted in this thread. Even a grandpa caveman can do that much.

Random guy on youtube is exactly on par with random guy on forums. If anything, you should question random youtube guy more than random forum guy because random forum guy doesn’t have anything to gain, but for random youtube guy clicks put dinner on the table.
