Awww.... /whistle was nerfed đŸ˜„

Get ready for more censorship then before. Next watch them try to hotfix the skimpy armor in game. Then call it a bug and totally ignore it.

I didn’t accuse you of anything. I merely informed you of the people you are siding with on this one. Reactionary CHUDs.

my friend repoted flirt offensive and is hiring a lawer and is taking action agenst the /flirt and is sueing blizzard and so far he is winning according to the documents he showed me
seems in todays world its easy to sue over anything and win

I am far more offended by the damn toy train than any emote. I’m sick and tired of people deploying it in the AV cave before the gates open. Yes, I do have the train wrecker, but you still have to hear everyone choo choo before it does its thing.

Catcalling is as close to harrassment as yelling is to assault.

Do I condone it? Nope. That doesn’t mean that you can change the definition of words to suit your narrative.

You quoted MY post, not theirs. You started babbling about shadow cabal conspiracies and a particular brand of bigotry that I find PERSONALLY horrifying.

I have spent my entire adult life (and that’s multiple decades, now) talking and educating on this stuff.

You were extremely malicious and vicious in what you posted. You need to know that and you needed to be told that.

I said that my upset is that the things that are FAR more problematic in this game were overlooked in favor of changing the whistle. There are several things in this game that I can’t discuss on forums because the language necessary to discuss them (and I don’t want my account silenced).

If you are actually a feminist and you actually have passion for fixing these issues, there are things in WoW that rate an order of magnitude higher on the problematic scale. That was what I typed. That is what I meant.

Blizzard is a major gaming company and kids do play this game, so they have to cover their buns for their stockholders, just like WWE tries not to show blood anymore or get too racist or overly sexist on their shows. It’s called legal responsibility.
To answer the Op’s question 51 yo woman here, nope not offended by it ever, more offended by Rp’rs who come up and pet, or lick my gnome in passing.

 “my friend”
is that like your girlfriend in another country?

Yes, and I had to stop letting my kid play during MoP. The whistle emote wasn’t one of the reasons.

I just say what they are thinking.

I don’t have a passion for fixing these issues. I didn’t care about the emote. Online doesn’t matter. I just think it’s funny to rile “the gamers” up.

No, not offended. But it was really weird that using the whistle to call things was also a cat-call. Never made any sense.

you are a parent and that’s your choice, doesn’t stop a million more parents.

There’s a quest in Dun Morogh that requires you to /whistle to some run away Rams to call them back to their home.
It was a bit of a shock when I heard what the whistle sounded like. lol
Now I chuckle and cringe every time I do the quest as my toon cat calls the Rams.

At this point, I’m wondering if there’s something that doesn’t offend you.

I mean. How is catcalling really any less offensive then flirting with someone?

Oh, of course not! Parents have all kinds of limits, and every kid/parent/household is different.

I just found MoP (which was one of my favorite xpacs otherwise) extremely troubling in several ways.

Funny, I thought that’s what you did.

I’m 110 lbs, about 20-25 years old (at the time of me working in nightlife), walking down the streets of New Orleans at night, when a man (or two), considerably older than me and weighing probably at least 100 lbs more than me, standing in front of a dive bar start hooting at me as I walk by, maybe a few times they will follow me a ways trying to get me to stop. Maybe they are just drunk and acting stupid. Maybe not.

It was a lot more than just a “whistle”. It was verbal and like I said, they would often try to approach or follow a ways behind. If your test for harassment is them actually putting their hands on me and trying to grab me, dude, I’d be long dead, because like I said, I weigh about 110 lbs. You don’t always have a friend who can walk with you to your destination.
