Apparently Zach (Holy Paladin) was banned for doing Real Money Trading and was not able to play in AWC.
So are they able to get a new healer and still compete?

Idk about the other thing that you said but yes, you can swap people out from your roster and still compete, same thing happened with jahmilli, when he got banned they replaced him with Aang, same with Gorecki that he just decided to stop playing and they replaced him with Ticki. I don’t know the rules 100% but i suppose that as long as you don’t swap the whole roster out you can still compete.
Even that’s over shooting it. It’s probably whatever coupons, gift cards and purchase promos Ion has left in his wallet once they announce the winners.
I think last year Ion gave Drake, Brain and Cerrulium his buy 10 get one free sundae Cold Stone promo card. They all shared a banana split after their Blizzcon win.
