why 1400cr in 2v2 after 300 games? cause i use it to experiment, learn, help undergeared friends, figure out good keybinds, kill time, pug with whatever player needs a healer. I dont care about rated 2v2, they are skirmishes for me.
They play AWC on a tournament realm and all have equal gearing. There is no gear advantage in the AWC.

Plus it’s not just gear…It’ll be interesting to see if teams pull out multiple versions of their characters with different Covenant choices for different games. We might not see that this Cup, but I expect to see it down the line especially if the game slows down any more than it currently is.
Vs a lot of spread pressure as a Hpal? Kyrian is still the way to go. If teams are focusing maybe we might see people swap Night Fae attempting to rotate the blessing and safe the big dmg holy procs for those “GO” moments.
Class/spec balance will always be an issue, but they can do a better job to try to make more specs viable. The covenant and conduit system is another balance issue. Gear though shouldn’t be one ever in PvP, for both the highest ranked and lowest ranked players.
There should be a system in place where gear is scaled at least in instanced PvP environments where everyone is on equal footing. Let us choose our secondary stats with our currently equipped gear, and then scale that gear (which they are obviously able to do e.g. Timewalking) so we’re all on an even playing field. Until that happens at a bare minimum this game’s Esports will remain a joke to anyone outside of the WoW PvP community.
Why? Why do I have to “compete” to have an even playing field? I imagine if they had unscaled BGs/Arenas vs ones with gear scaling the majority of players would be playing in the balanced setting, not the one where player A can have 35k HP unbuffed vs the guy starting out at 25k HP. PvP in this game is a joke first and foremost because of the gear differential. When PvP was at it’s best PvP gear didn’t have a 60 ilvl swing like it currently does from Honor - Elite gear.
Take TBC for an example where you’d have a 13 ilvl difference on gear between Season 1-2. Even with rating requirements on specific slots, a casual, or bad player would end up only behind 13 ilvl on 3-4 slots (I think it was weapons, helm and shoulders that had requirements?). For both BFA and this expansion the ilvl differential between the top rated vs average players is much higher (probably closer to 20 ilvl) on almost every gear slot.
Competitive balance in this game for the majority of its players is a joke.

well… yesterday i played for like 2 hours with a gladiator, he didnt have a single complain about me, we got hot streak, we killed several mage comps, we didnt have any troubles with combust. So i dont know where you are coming from to comment like that. Do you even pvp?

. Everyone is just excited for the AWC to kick off. This might be the most watched season of AWC ever. I honestly feel it is going to pull huge numbers compared to the past few seasons.

Honesty though, do you guys have ANY plans to do any pvp balancing in near future? Buffs for some underperforming specs, nerfs for others? SURELY you’ve noticed the community upset about the issues like combust, seed, etc. SURELY, your only posts in the PVP forums is not just to advertise and then something completely unrelated. Can you at least address it? At least tell us you have NO plans if that’s the case. Your paying customers deserve to know.

i just dont like when they try to nerf specs in every single pvp thread… its frickin annoying. Specially when you have so many different specs being competitive and performing well. Why not just enjoy the game and get better if you are getting slaved by x spec or comp.
I mean we are miles away from cookie cutter bfa pvp.
People like to complain about mages and paladins being OP but then i watch a spriest/rogue/rshaman team absolutely destroy every single comp at 3k rating 3v3…
Well, it seems like the concern is valid when arena tracking sites show that fire mage and hpal specs make up 10.5% and 11.8% of 2200+ 3v3 comps. However, the classes you mentioned spriest, rogue(sub?), rshaman are 7%, 6.4%, and 3.7%

PvP is only fun in this game cause it’s a meme at this point. Expecting them to actually try to have competitive balance after 16 years is a joke in itself. They’ve come close a few times but PvP has been in pretty bad shape for the past 2 expansions and SL is looking more of the same.
Now I’m only a TBC S1 glad as a Holy Pally (my current main is a Rogue)…so you know everyone clicked and back peddled their way to victory
The fact they still haven’t figured out a way to at least address the gear issues people face for PvP in both the random and rated environments is hilarious to me. It’s why when I came back to the game near the end of MoP I ended up focusing on PvE more than PvP. At least in MoP and WoD I could easily gear up PvP alts without having to deal with toxic people like Procop here.
Nowadays though I just stick to being a PvE hero, doing raid carries so I don’t have to pay for my sub. When I want to get my competitive juices flowing I’ll stick to playing Dragon Ball FighterZ solo or League with my old WoW friends who no longer play this game.
