Awarded Loremaster Early?

I was under the impression that Loremaster included whatever expansions were current. I had purchased WoD, for some reason had Legion for free, and hadn’t purchased BfA. I did a few quests in Nagrand (account wide achievements meant I had done some zones on other toons) and was suddenly awarded Loremaster, though I had yet to even TOUCH Legion or BfA. I feel like it’s cheating. Can someone explain why I got it so early?

There are several little Loremaster Achievements - essentially one for the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor and then each expansion after Vanilla - and then The Loremaster (for earning all the little Loremaster achievements). I assume you’re talking about The Loremaster. The original The Loremaster achievement was added with the Achievements system at the pre-patch to Wrath of the Lich King. Although the Achievement now says it includes all the little Loremaster achievements for every expansion (including Zandalar and Kul Tiras), I thought it was awarded after earning Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Outlands and Northrend per the original implementation. However, my The Loremaster achievement coincides with my Loremaster of Pandaria - but I came back to the game at the pre-patch to MoP. Your The Loremaster also coincides with your Loremaster of Pandaria - so I imagine although it says it includes Warlords, Legion and BfA, The Loremaster only includes through Pandaria (either a wrong tool tip or a wrong tracking). I have got to imagine The Loremaster should stop at some point or you’d be continually taking away an achievement and giving it back with each expansion - so I’m going to suggest it’s a wrong tool tip.
