I stopped doing it on my main as the rewards are no longer worth it. Main is at 609 ilvl and I have yet to see a drop over 554. But, it is stupid easy so, guess that makes sense.

Mate, I’m with you. Never opened the vault last week, and I probably won’t this week. I’m done worrying about the hamster wheel. If I’m behind I’m behind.

I have yet to do Awakening the Machine, and this is my primary reason why: I’m afraid it’s just going to be spamming AoE for 20 waves, most of which will be spent waiting for mobs to spawn…

That was me.
They did it before, in Siege of Niuzao Temple. People complained the 2nd boss (with the waves of Mantid coming up the stairs and you throw sap at them) was too slow. So Blizzard added a gong that speeds up their advance.
Take the gong.
Move it to Awakening the Machine.
Winning.
