Its not keeping me engaged… its making me want to un sub, I usually run 2 accounts and have already canceled one of them…
I focus on m+ every season, and was looking forward to this season a lot… I am absolutely capable of timing +9s but just trying to get into groups or even forming my own for +9s has been such an absolute slog that I just want to give up on it…
I was planning on playing every season of TWW to the max and now I want to un-sub barely 3 weeks in… the progression just feels bad…
Raid rewards are abysmal for the time sink and commitment they have.
The first change would be to increase the loot drop pieces for the group. Loot drops should strictly take class comps in consideration, and not drop tier pieces or loot that can’t be used by anyone in the raid, like warglaives when there are no DH in raid.
And finally, the great vault for raid slots should be weighted so if you kill the later bosses, that it prioritize selecting endboss trinkets and weapons for the vault slots.
The amount of time trudging through trash mobs should also be cut. Trash shouldn’t be adding 30 minutes to a run.
Release points should be right by the boss, not having long runbacks or relying on wipe recovery.
I mean I really can’t disagree with you but those kinds of quality of life changes might make the raids seem…too trivial for people.
I dunno. As far as loot is concerned…I ABSOLUTELY think it should be weighted by your comp and NOT drop stuff that no one can use–but even that has some limits to it. They’d probably have to do it to where only ONE item would be 100% likely to be used by the comp, the next one would be 50% likely and the next after that 25…? Otherwise it seems it would be easy to “game/stack” the raids to force drops and that isnt’ what i think the devs want.
Since Sepulchre, I have primarily geared myself outside of our raid group and feel that this is the way a good chunk of us in any raid group i’ve been in does it. (Heroic only…not mythic). THere’s always like 6-7 of us who seeriously outgear the content we’re pushing but I think it helps us have less pulls on newer stuff and i’m fine with this.
I’m in a guild that does not go into Mythic mode and stops at Heroic ( family kind guilds, we don’t want to bother managing a roster of 20 + ppl everytime we want to raid and we’re fine with the way we raid actually. )
We have half casual player / half " hardcore " one that focused mainly on mythic +.
This change with the gilded crest dropping in +9 hurts us tenfold.
We just decided that having normal raid loot is equal to heroic raid loot because most of the raid will never be able to farm +9 keys on a daily basis and thus won’t be able to upgrade all their stuff above normal raid ilvl, which is absurd !
Why doing Heroic raid when you won’t be able to raise your stuff to above normal ilvl if you don’t dedicate yourself to M+9 ? what’s the loot difference outisde of saving some upgrade level on each gear ?
Whats the point of needing an item in heroic level when you already have the normal one since you won’t be able to upgrade the other one above normal track?
Change this please. Gilded crests need to drop on +7/+8
quite frankly 619 is more than enough ilvl to complete +9s. You’re not capped by your gear, it’s a skill issue. I don’t mean to be a troll but there are 10s of thousands of players who have completed +9s at 619 ilvl or lower. The majority of my mythic raid team is like low 620s, barely above 619 and are timing 11s
It’s not a skill issue when you’re not taken into +9 because your class is not meta and that +9 are thrusted by players having full heroic or mythic gear and needing to cap the weekly gilded crests.
Quit having this argument. SKill is not what make you taken into group. Its your class, ilvl and M+ rating.
I got 618 ilvl + 2310 rating and I stuggle to be taken into +9 key.
( I was up to 3200 rating in dragonflight, I’m not sure I’ll even reach the 2k5 this season because of this pug nightmare and crests gating )
I refuse to timesink any more than I did in S3-S4 of DF.
If I gear an character, I try to push them to do all 10s or above. If not, I move to another alt and start the process anew in the season. It’s evergreen to me, and that was supposed to be supported by Warbands in TWW.
I refuse to grind out their stingy gear system in TWW. If they continue to do this, I’ll just cancel my sub and sit this expansion out.
You can’t upgrade your normal gear (champion) to heroic item level without doing heroic level content.
Your normal gear is upgraded to hero level because you’re clearing the heroic raid. If you just stuck to normal raid it would stay normal level (actually equal to upgraded LFR gear).
Same with heroic to mythic, why should that be different? There seems to be this weird idea that mythic track gear should be a joke to get from a dungeon mini game rather than having 2 alternative fully fleshed out end game paths.
619 ilvl is the max upgradable for normal raid.
It’s also the max for heroic if you don’t do mythic or M+9.
So basically doing heroic raid rewards you the same ilvl that normal raid. How is that normal and acceptable ?
Something is wrong. You can play devil’s advocate as long as you want but there is no point doing heroic raid if you can just farm delves to get your normal gear to 619.
but if you raid heroic and are in progress, it still drop runic crest and not gilded ( outside of the last two bosses ) so it reward exactly the SAME ilvl as normal according to the crests rewards, what don’t you understand in this ?
Your heroic drop will end up at 4/8 with runic crest and that’s level 619. so that’s exactly the same as running a normal raid.
You can farm runed crest in delves. You can’t farm Gilded crest outside of M+9 and Mythic raid.
So basically you can skip heroic and do delve to get exactly the same ilvl (619) and the heroic raid become useless if you don’t do +9 or mythic raiding.
You are still 619 with all hero track gears because you are hard-capped at 619. 619ilvl is not good enough/gear enough for +9/+10 and the last 2 bosses in the raid. It’s pointless to talk about the heroic item level.
I can describe the people who are 619ilvl waiting in a nightclub line with security guards. Let’s say you are 619ilvl as MW monks applying for +9/+10m, The security guards will let Resto Shaman / Preservation Evoker / other specs over 620ilvl skip a nightclub line. You will stuck in a line for a nightclub for age. I’ve been skipping a line for a nightclub because I am Frost DK main and over 620ilvl, it’s perfect for +9/+10. The difficulty scaling and rewarding are a hot mess
