You’re missing tb actual issue.
When SHGY is taken alliance now rez at SPGY.
When IBGY is taken horde now rez 20 seconds away at their cave and up to 20 at a time.
No matter what alliance does if it’s not a straight race horde can just send 40 to SHGY and if alliance go cap any other flag horde can just soft cap SHGY then go back cap since now ally have no graveyard and rez at SPGY but horde will always have their cave rez right next to FWGY and IBGY.
Did you play AV back in vanilla and classic? The strategy for alliance was always to camp stonehearth which never worked.
Because you cant win on defense.
You can win 1000000 fights at SHGY, the horde only need to win 1.
Then they soft cap it and no more alliance down south, they are all spawning at SPGY and are trapped up north.
Chuck doesnt understand how AV works.
The other issue is that that I have seen exactly 1 non av bg pop all day, and it was wsg… one time.
This is exactly what I said would happen, before SoD released… The reward structure for bgs needs to actually incentivize people playing more than just one BG constantly.
AV needs to be fixed for the gameplay reasons (hell half my games end as im getting to the final boss because I didn’t buy epic mounts yet on either 60)… but it also needs to not be the runaway hands down best/only real option for people trying to push honor.
We should swap systems to one that let’s people queu for “random bg” with a heavily boosted honor gain for it, so that people actually play more than one “bg”.

AV is such a wonderful, beautiful battleground. Having to fight NPCs, being able to summon NPCs to help, and strategy make it just a gem. But…it’s old and they haven’t done anything to make the original better, they just removed stuff to make the game faster. They can make it so much more fun and can limit the battle to three hours, and if no one wins by defeating the leaders then it’s a draw…but can still award honor, currency, and items for the efforts that succeeded. I absolutely LOVE your idea of being able to take a predetermined path and drop bombs on the enemy. They could make that the benefit of the wing commanders getting back to base, for example. They do need to lower the requirements for turn ins, they just take way too much to ever make any use of them. I hardly ever see the ground assaults, even less so the wolf or ram riders…they are what made the game more fun!! The turn ins were designed around the game being super long, since it’s not anymore, then reduce the requirements so we can still have fun.
