AV: Just Let Horde Win

If you are in AV for the Honor. Stop caring about Drek at this point. The Horde turtle strategy is overextending games pointlessly with the turtles cause they can’t understand that fast games benefit them too. If you don’t show the horde any interest in getting Drek, then they can just freely go get Vann as far as I care.

Fast games suck.

Or they decide to camp you for free honor and summon their frost lord and laugh at you as you sit there for 10 minutes waiting for him to charge. Just to waste your time.

I sure am glad I came into classic not caring about PvP, because man it sure as hell sounds like people are doing everything they can to not PvP (at least in this battleground).

Plenty of PvP in AV. So much fun when both sides are really going for it.

If it was PvP for fun sake. I wouldn’t care. I would do it for fun. What sucks is the honor system.

Its not everyone’s cup of tea, Ill give you that.

This whole thing since bg’s released swung from one side to another quickly.

I thought Alliance was supposedly winning more in AV?

Honestly, i feel bad because they have to have people like you on their team potentially.

In no way do fast games benefit Horde, when we have a 15+ minute queue, and the difference between ‘good vs bad’ honor is about 2k.

I almost feel like renaming this thread to “Honor grind is poisoning AV” honestly.

Alliance have almost always given Horde free rein in DB, and they even have a back entrance to bypass most of our fort. The horde just aren’t very good at the pve part of pvpve.

The thing that makes AV worth it regardless of queue time is the bonus honor at the end of the game. If Horde focused on getting the LTs and towers and have the game end within 7-9 minutes regardless of who wins or loses. Those Horde that consistantly get those quick games will have more honor per hour than those that do the turtle games. You are basically comparing a single game in an hour to two games within the hour. 2.5k+ multiplied by 2 is still more than 4.5k.

I disagree. The diffence between ‘let the Alli roll in’ 7 min loss (25ish min total time) and ‘stall the alli once and win’ 15 min win (35ish min total time) is worth.

  1. The extra honor.
  2. The fact people actually are PLAYING THE GAME.

Literally everything about the Rank Grind, PvP, BG’s, and Honor due to how AV functions is fundamentally tilted towards being an AFK BOT.

How embarrassing, actively asking people to not participate in a battleground because you want to farm honor rank… lol.

It doesn’t end up being 15 minutes though. It pushes into 20+ unless the horde does well enough to end it at what I have seen best being 17 minutes. And that was one game out of far too many.

AV is neutral in all of this. If anyone is poisoning it that will probably fall on the part of the players. AV is there to be won or lost, that’s it.

Doing AV solely for the apathetic honor grind with zero pvp and 6 - 10 minute games in mind isn’t much of a long term goal or standard.

I know some honor per hour guy will swoop in with some ivy league college math to disagree but the 45 min to hour plus games with lots of hks, objectives, summons and tower/bunker burnings feel way more rewarding honor wise, especially when you win.

I don’t even think the alliance have a problem with long AVs, I think they have a problem with being dominated for 60 minutes and getting very little to show for it from an honor standpoint. I bring that up because Ive been in a bunch of those lately and I know that feeling and I certainly wouldn’t find it enjoyable or worth my time.

and it makes the alliance queue a lot less av those 20m queue times will go up to 30m soon.

The queue exploiters are premade and win more AV games. This made them flood to the forums in the first days claiming they were winning 100% of their games. Probably true.

Unfortunately all those queues they decline are left in the cold and can be safely assumed is a loss. Alliance never win without their exploiting which is why you can expect 5-10 Alliance arguing against group queue request threads. It would balance the table which would force these exploiters to swallow loss after loss.
