AV is awful unless you premade, then it is kill myself boring. The only reason it is tolerable is by watching your honor totals and imagining those epics.

You can play WSG for fun but not for ranks. It is like half to a fourth the honor-per-hour of an AV premade.

Even if you premade you will fall behind if you dont play like crazy.
On horde side you can take breaks snd do something else inbetween qeues, breaking brackets takes some extra effort but all in all its pretty chill

Yeah, the current state of our battlegrounds in general is pretty terrible. Once I hit exalted with Stormpike, I’m gonna take it easy and not worry as much about ranking until some fixes come out.

Hopefully some mechanic is added to prevent pre-made groups from happening
The mind control issue in WSG is pretty dirty for both sides

AV is not terrible…they way people think they “need” to play it is.

Everyone if “grinding rank” so no one cares to play the objectives of the actual battleground or to have fun with it.

All just go for “max / optimal honor”.

If people just played a game…i dont know…for the fun of the game…things would not be terrible and honor and rep will come over time.

This is why I can not even bring myself to Q at the moment.

AV used to be a blast. It was my favorite battle ground back during 2007 and 2008 (I did not start playing until right before TBC was launched.)

AV isn’t what’s terrible, it’s the honor system. If I could change it I would add RBG’s to classic with a separate reward structure. That way skill and winning would actually mean something.

Reroll alliance isn’t a solution either. Its just as bad there. The queues might be shorter but its a mindless zerg. AV is just not fun for anyone. The only fun in AV is joining the alliance discords and laughing when their premades lose.
