The feature was never gotten rid of the 1st time.
What did happen the 1st time around was GM’s began going around slapping abusers in the mouth and having a little discussion with them
as reports came in about the same persons
well hopefully it can be different this time? its just poor design, and u get deserter. imagine working 8 hrs and having 2hrs to play and 30min gets taken out of that cause u got afk report kicked twice. i dont think thats okay

They can probably remove that hidden feature of Report AFK if their bot detection stuff has improved.
I think that’s why it was added in the first place — to deal with bots that could stay in combat.
Oh i agree it is crap, and some people are abusing the hell out of it.
The function has a place, lets you get rid of real afk/botting people.
using it to boot people who are actively playing, is crap.
Not everything you do in AV can put you in combat every second, if you are doing a turn in, or capturing something and no one is attacking you, or you are in the mines, or you are a rogue stealthing some place to ambush bad guys etc.
it is griefing, no less so than evade glitching guards etc.
Can only hope blizz watches it carefully, and if need be, crucify a few
abusers bad enough that no one wants to be “that guy”
They have server logs, they can see what was going on
its happening, heck I just got kicked as afk, while fighting galv… I was with a group of 6 that were in the same guild…
right click reporting is one of the easiest to abuse systems we have, its great against bots, but bad on everything else.
There are even people talking about doing it to anyone not with the group to the main guy, if you are doing a quest or anything else they are trying to get you to report as afk (actually had a guy on my server in one of my AV’s and he offered me gold if I did it)
I only report people who are turtleing.
That’s still an abuse of the system. Shame on you, Glinda.

So you are reporting someone for playing the game. Not for being AFK which is what the report function is supposed to be for.
I truly hope you are punished in some way, you and those like you who grief players in AV to obtain an unfair advantage.
