Believe it or not I still have a ton of fun in AV despite the losing because nostalgia and I love my class. AV has always been my favorite BG and I made the tradeoff between winning and queue times. Id rather have short queues.
Pro tip, almost all decent alliance pvpers have given up on AV, hence the horde queue times.
I pop in every once in awhile to see if horde are still playing scorched earth but with premades becoming less of a thing in AB thereâs simply no reason to play on such a badly balanced map.
Bg participation is down across the board and has been trending this way going into Shadowlands and Naxx.
Except for off hours, my queues are 3-6 minutes for AB and WSG. Usually about 8+ for AV.
That tells me participation is down for AV, not everything else.
I mean, youâre a 59 twink ⌠not really representative.
Quote from September 16 of this year. Like I said, you were late to the game. You started playing alliance AV after a large portion had bailed.
You might get 2-3 horde mains to agree because everything you say fits their narrative of âalliance suckâ but some of us see through your lack of map awareness.
Or maybe everything she said just make sense and doesnât fit your narrative ?
She started playing way after most alliance bailed on AV hence has no proper perspective on why.
But thatâs fine continue being confused about why alliance do just fine in WSG/AB but magically suck in AV.
Because alliance couldnât premade AV anymore right ? So your close to admit it had nothing to do with map imbalances. Redeem Ziryus, youâre close to see the light.
Or maybe
You keep pushing this narrative and itâs full of holes. Me quitting AV on this character had nothing at all to do with premades. I have multiple alliance friends who quit for the same reasons I did. Trying to win on a map thatâs stacked against us is not fun. Do you honestly think you speak for all alliance when you push the âbecause premades leftâ narrative?
Well actually no, there were plenty of good alliance still queuing AV after the queue changes were made. Once again had she actually been playing then she would have that perspective and know why those players no longer do so outside of AV weekends.
So sure if your only experience with classic BGâs is AV and only on horde side until recently maybe you could arrive at the conclusion that alliance just suck. But anyone whoâs played WSG/AB would know that horde arenât just magically better at pvp. Or played alliance AV early on would know that alliance didnât bail on AV because of no more premading.
Ironically so few alliance are queuing for AV at all it sounds like itâs possible to premade it againâŚ
Well Jadei, maybe youâre an exception out of all alliance but if youâre go back in January you should know that is what happened : alliance rankers (premaders) left AV and AV queues got really high horde side. Maybe some very special people like you did it for other reasons like so called map imbalances but if so, itâs such a minority no one really noticed you. Have a nice day.
Horde cave rez is not so called, itâs how the map works. You really just donât understand that 20 > 10 do you?
I never said alliances sucks. But if you reread all my posts, maybe at some point you will notice that my theory is :
Personal attack again ?
So you still just donât understand the issue with the cave rez as you donât understand why 20 > 10.
It doesnât matter if itâs not for the full 10 rez cycles. Especially since if itâs not it means horde have almost certainly softy capped SHGY.
Get used to it. Youâre going to have this forced out of your mouth, even if you state otherwise. They are the only ones saying it.
See how that works?
I mean if you want to say the cave Rez is near impossible for alliance to overcome, then how do horde over come the 30 Rez advantage they get with proper positioning to cause them to Rez up to 10 at a time at ASGY and up to 20 at a time at their cave?
30>20 and yet horde overcome that 30 how?
Oh right, because by the time it comes into play there is maybe 10 alliance still even playing AV in that game, because the rest gave up.
But hay, alliance giving up when they are at their strongest defensive (and offensive) position is the hordes fault right?
Itâs possible to make an offensive by trapping horde rezers in their GY into a meat grinder.
Now they canât Rez there as they die on spawn. So they run south to Rez. This is when alliance cap every GY including SPGY and move the meat grinder to the horde cave entrance.
By the time horde realize they have to trinket to get out alliance has soft capped everything on the map and has a meat grinder set up at horde trinket spot.
Yet why doesnât alliance do this?
Game duration vs que times.
To do this strategy which would give alliance at least a 80% win rate, your looking at a 2+ hour game.
Since you attack me personally I wonât be nice with you Ziryus. But here for you again Ziryus if you ever learn to read:
Im going off the number of bg instances open - not queue times in the 51-59 bracket. For an example, during peak time yesterday there was 44 total BGs going - a month ago that number was 75. Before that it was over 100. The number of AVâs have gone down in the same proportion as AB/WSG. Overall participation is down - that wont effect queue times unless the balance between factions is also affected.
I have 4 60âs split between the factions - not that my personal playstyle has anything to do with the map but I guess you want to keep this in the illogical realm of ad hominem since that places the stress and focus on interpersonal conflict rather than the matter at hand.
If youre the same Jadei from the pre WoD/Legion BG forums then you know me by another name (Iseededpeple) where we talked about AV alot as well during those years. Since youre so into me I can send you an autographed copy of my book âMy WoW Storyâ and maybe my credentials and 15 years experience with Alterac Valley will let me say the alliance suck at AV when they lose 99% of the matches just like I used to say the horde sucked at AV in retail when they lost 99% of their matches.
