Actually, it is. The “end of classic” would come when they make the biggest changes of all: Release TBC classic, just like how it ended Vanilla. So wait for your changes then. Or you know what, since you like changes soo much, just play retail
C’mon man. The ‘go play retail’ response to someone asking for a change is old and doesn’t mean anything. Everyone knows that retail is a completely different game from YEARS of changes that nobody even asked for. Some of the changes were good, most were bad. Theres nothing wrong with wanting some of the good changes in classic. TBC and Wrath had a TON of positive changes.
It absolutely is not. The #nochanges movement started AFTER classic had already been announced. We got classic due to demand because of what blizzard(activision) has done to retail. I don’t play retail, and wasn’t even subbed until classic launched. I was always against #nochanges because there are so many broken things in classic that could easily be fixed and make the game better but still be classic.
Doubt it. Blizzard will just make more changes to help the horde, then a bunch of boot lickers will come along and say “changing bad changes is a bad idea!”
I’m not currently playing AV and haven’t since they removed the ability to queue sync. Classic isn’t “no changes.” It’s actually quite a few changes. Sorry you didn’t get what you wanted. Few of us did.
Because you can just ask to revert the change instead. But let’s be real. It isnt about that. It’s about wanting to barely play and still win games, despite this being the exact map 15 years ago and other players in the past and in other regions present-day having even win rates or even reversed winrates
The day they said they were using 1.12 AV I said I wouldn’t be playing AV. Right off the bat they made the wrong choice. Anyone with knowledge of the past knew exactly how this would play out. This is no surprise. But it is still authentic Vanilla. At least as close as the devs are willing to go. The ‘solution’ is not to deviate even further from the goal of an authentic experience. It’s rolling back what they’ve already changed and wait for it…players dealing with it. This is 1.12 AV. Classic is based on this.
If you want to change the map, might as well rebalance class skills and talents. Change all the itemization. Add damage and hp to some bosses. Hell, add in some new boss mechanics. Rearrange dungeons. And so on and so on. You don’t pick and choose this part of Classic is okay, that part isn’t. Besides the complete infeasibility of accomplishing that in a way to pleases anyone, let alone everyone, it goes against the very reason Classic was made.
You’re not going to get yourself out of a hole by digging even deeper. You hate the map? Wait until TBC when Alliance will own it. This is the Vanilla version.
Sure. They separated the queues for both NA regions for cross servers. So east played only with east and west played only with west. Something like that. This increased queue times and they reverted it back.
