The issues are legion. The answer is to start with the obvious and simple issues and then move to more complex issues.
Delaying the horde gate opening and changing the rez graveyard fallback are fairly straightforward solutions. Do those first, see if it makes a difference, then identify and solve the next set of issues. Iterate until the game improves enough.

The pre-1.8 map was indeed that, and what many of us wanted. Your buddy Zyrius was fond of claiming that 1.12 is the better version, and that racing did not happen until TBC.
So taking objectives while defending your own objectives is not how the map is supposed to be played? What part of how horde are playing is not intended?
Once again, you will get no argument from me on that. You WILL however get that dismissed by Zyrius. TO THIS DAY his claim is that none of that would make a difference, using his āevidenceā of Korrakās Revenge, which was played for a limited amount of time for retailers to get a new shiny mount, with all L60s, with all different talents, with all different races/classes, etc. Myself and a TON of other players begged and pleaded for the old prenerf map.
See hereās the thing, this āmetaā as you call it is nothing out of the ordinary, but you choose to focus on it while flat out ignoring that it is a result of alliance (mostly) allowing themselves to be run over.
(And yeah, the cave/gy rez is a contributor to why alliance rolls over, but roll over they do)
AV went through many MANY patch cycles of changes during vanilla; the BG gaining content, fixes, and strength up until 1.7. Starting with 1.8 it started to slide like a canary in a coal mine toward what retail is today. Blizzard would have perhaps made changes, but post 1.7 AV changes are evidence that what changes they made in AV were more often than not more damaging than helpful.
In a better world, Blizzard would give us Korrakās Revenge, with the BG/Cave rez mechanics repurposed. But do NOT discount how few alliance would be willing to play an AV that would be almost guaranteed to be longer, with better HPH elsewhere.

eat your heart out horde losers
Grts. Most ally give up around 30 min. Glad you had a team willing to put the effort in to win.
Still waiting on that map fix. Other BGs being this covered in premades makes it just as needed as before.

This, especially for alliance the argument that if you donāt like it just donāt play it doesnāt work if youāre pugging.

many of times there were the typical āggā thrown out early in the chat in this game
many of times there were calls to throw in the towel
and every time we dug deep and persevered.
I am 4-2 over the last few days
fire is fun I just play ultra D and get kills. I donāt call any strats as fire as I canāt really play offense without the defensive talents.
Iām sill finding ways to refine my strats and play styles, and improve upon mistakes made in the past.
I saw a couple of NE hunters shadowmeld and hold the SH choke quite well
I also called out for hunters to frost trap their cave at one point in one of my games
you would have been proud
Itās amazing the difference that trap can have in travel time delay for the horde cave reinforcements.
It adds a good 5 seconds (10 with rng entrapment) to their travel time and with entrapment it makes them trickle in instead of being one solid group.
LOL a >2 hr game.
You could have done nothing but lose back to back games in that time frame and earned more Honor and Reputation.
i donāt play for honor or rep
thatās how it goes when iām raid spec
frost pvp spec usually under an hour w/ strats and wins

How shocking to see an alliance player scoffing at a win because it lasted beyond their attention span. Shining example of the typical alliance attitude in AV.
Be truthful: how often are you the one spamming āHURRY UP AND LOSE!ā in raid chat of AV?

And this is why alliance have such a high loss rate.
You would rather lose 3+ games than win 1 game because itās more efficient.
And yet the map criers want to dismiss the HPH/reputation farm efficiency argument as a non factor and itās clearly all the maps fault.
When alliance intentionally start trying to lose after30-45 min. Thatās not the maps fault.
