If only there were a way for horde to keep those pallies from even reaching Drek…
If we start down this road, we need to ban hunters who pull warmasters while the rest of the group pull Vann to the back wall. The hunters then fd and reset the warmasters who run back and stand there doing nothing while horde kill Vann. Exploit too?

Actually, Dark, they did change how it was done. AV was overhauled in 2.3 because of all of these issues.
In 2.3 they made it so generals could not be pulled without their warlords and lieutenants. Additionally, they added 25% flat bonus damage per NPC left up from the towers/galv/bal not being killed.
ON TOP OF THAT, they made it so you couldn’t leash them away from their support.
So, your pudding was left out with that gross skin growing on top of it too long. You clearly HAVE NO IDEA what you’re talking about, and are trying to meme. Or, worse, you’re saying things that you actually believe, in which case means you’ve never read a patch note in your life.
In 1.12, people stopped playing AV. Ranking was essentially over, and there were BG weekends. No one cared that it was a boring snooze/zerg/pvefest at the end of the Vanilla era. Once momentum picked up in TBC and people were on a long BT lull and wanted the badge PVP gear and started farming it again, the old issues were fixed since the majority of the player base was pointing out how bad/stupid they were.

Hunters could send their pets in UBRS to kill Drek just after rend. This was considered an exploit. Why is this different? The game is being played in a way due to a flaw in the design that was unintentional.
Fact: 1.12 AV sucks
Fact: Exploits to pull the General are stupid
Fact: Community wants old school pre-1.12 AV
Fact: Blizzard changed AV due to 1.12 version sucking

I don’t disagree that this is probably the worst iteration of AV we could have got, but I also believe players are quick to claim something is an exploit.
I don’t need to cite 15 year old ban waves from 2005. Go dredge through old blue posts yourself.

Not that it has anything to do with what we’re seeing in AV. Both sides can pull the general and have ways to remove the warmasters. Since one side can do it in a way the other one can’t, we’ll just call it an exploit and ask Blizzard to fix something that has a PvP solution?

When the stars align that the horde happen to queue in with 0 mages and doesn’t follow the current horde meta of running straight at the alliance and don’t recall or defend at all maybe, just maybe we can get to relief hut in 5 minutes.

Regardless to the unnecessary smugness consider how a pallie can bubble pull warmasters while 20 of their teammates kill Drek if they can’t get to Drek? There is a PvP solution.
The amount of whoosh over your head is impressive. The issue at hand is the BG can not be played in the same way for both factions.
In WSG, the bg is played the same for both factions.
In AB the bg is played the same for both factions.
In AV - nope, it isn’t. It’s totally borked for 1.12 AV. Which is why they changed it in 2.3. It was literally 75% Ally dominated. The only reason why it isn’t today, is simply due to horde being willing to turtle it into long matches.
If Horde used the same strat as Ally and it was a matter of who could get there first and execute properly? It wouldn’t get that much attention. But the fact remains, horde can’t get there the same speed as ally, and, lips make npcs attack other players.
So again:
TL;DR - it benefits me, therefore it’s fine.
