The volume of people required to trigger a squelch is substantial.
And if it happens - 1) If it was an abuse scenario, the reporters will all be reprimanded, so it’s worth it. 2) The player deserved the squelch, so it’s worth it.
It has been used for years. Documented cases of the level of abuse you are afraid of are very few, and if it’s what they need to do to justify the Classic project, so be it.
In no way will it break or destroy anything.
