it is better now right??
Itâs dropped quite a bit from this change though. I used to make about 4000 from an hour of work farming mats, now I would make about 400 for the same amount of work. It used to be lucrative if I had the time, now I am not so sure. Like I said in another post, I hope things will even out eventually, but I can see why its scary to most people.
OpâŠI feel your pain. Due to Pathfinder my play style changed dramatically. I was ready to leave the game but a former WOW player suggested learning and playing the AH. Iâm a gatherer, have spent hours just âflyingâ around decompressing from long days at work and gathering items to sell on the AH. The recent change Blizzard made to the AH cured me of that !! Now, I seldom log in. It just may be time to say âgoodbyeâ and Iâm so sad.
/Thinks to self: who makes these darn decisions ??
What did I miss? What changes were made to the AH? I still make secret money on high priced, low level mats.
I mean supply and demand ⊠more people post lower its gonna be
It been dead to me for a while now. Only because I cant afford anything in it⊠I mean, Now I can. But before⊠yeah, dead to meâŠ
Well, to be fair, it only really sucks for players that played the AH game almost as much if not more than the actual game â and the players that jumped on that AH bandwagon because of Tokens.
I honestly see it as more of a good thing even if it does suck for those players. More players can get the mats they need for their profession leveling (with DF being a more profession-focus from what Iâve heard) without going broke or lining Wow millionaireâs pockets.
On the business side - less people able to pay for subs purely through AH-Gold Tokens, bound to translate to a little more actual subs.
Region-wide materials and consumables.
blizz makes extra $5/sub for each token spent on game time
I donât think they really make anything if the token is purchased purely through gold earned in game though â if itâs bought for cash, yeah they get $5/token. But gold for token, they donât get anything if players are earning that much gold consistently each month.
Iâm also struggling I donât know what to do
materials donât sell for anything
I hope so.
Well I was getting tokens before this now itâs impossible so theyâre not getting any money now
Guess Iâll just stick with COD atleast I donât have to pay anything instant ques hope in whenever with no attachments
if the token is purchased purely through gold earned in game though â if itâs bought for cash, yeah they get $5/token
theres two types of tokens
one type you can only buy with cash for $20, then u put it on ah and it gets converted to one you buy with gold
buyer then buys with gold. person who paid cash gets buyers gold, person who paid gold gets gametime or blizz balance
so people who use gold to buy tokens for subs are paid for with $20
Ah, okay I see. Yeah, each token is $20 that was spent by someone.
But it still stands that the ones buying the tokens for gold, who arenât spending $$ for subs or the token themselves, are more apt to at least have some of them convert to spending real money and thus giving Blizz more money.
true but fewer people buying gold tokens=gold sales price of token drops=fewer people buying tokens for cash if gold amount isnt worth it
its a mess. theres also people who cant afford cash for sub and do tokens only
yah but it costs money to buy and sell them
Donât sell then. Hoard it all and see what happens.
Yeah but those pesky tokens havent dropped a bit.
The business model is working.
you donât have to buy all of the mats, just completely remove one of the mats from the market and you suddenly have a monopoly.
