Well of course you can say that, “concern” is relative to the person. Concern over PvP bugs is unwarranted to me because I don’t PvP it’s warranted to someone though because someone cares.
In was shocked to find Bags on the AH that I used to pay 200g each for are now 12,000g each.
Guess my Tailoring Mage will just make them from now on until all my mats run out. Then I do not know what I will do with my Tailoring Profession…new mats are really really expensive now. Delete it…perhaps.
Was this your intention Blizzard?
Mats crashed but legendries haven’t gone down
Now that the supply of commodities is so high, I may never have to pick my own herbs ever again.
My only problem is “That item is no longer available” on every other attempt at buying.
looking at the AH now, Embroiderer DS bags, there are 5 listed, for 25k each.
Almost worth making a few lol.
Lightless silk pouch is 269gold with 333 listed.
I mean, I cant see how anyone would pay 25k for a 32 slotter when they can get another 32 slot bag for 269 gold.
gotta grab it quick lol.
ive just been going to second or third down the list to keep it from doing that.
what are you guys talking about
ask in trade for an LW / JC to make it for you - youll find someone. when someone agrees, buy the mats. a lot of people have the recipes but don’t craft and sell.
I mean…it’s virtual stocks luv - you’ve gotta take the good with the bad. :3
why is it dead
Flasks are cheap. It’s awesome.
I think the market will more or less correct itself. Yes, our stuff sells for less, but it also costs a lot less to buy things, and the money we have on our characters is now worth a lot more. It also makes gold from quest rewards and creep kills mean a lot more.
I think even the price of tokens will go down over time. It’s basically WoW deflation, lol.
Used to make bank on the Essentia, but now it’s a lost cause.
Though I am making some good money being an Enchanter for Season 4.
This is the norm for the end of an expansion… people and bots are both farming constantly and nothing is gonna be worth anything in a few months.
Mostly depends on the items and server from what I’ve seen. I’ve seen some stuff go down and other stuff go up.
I’ve made about 80K since the changes went into effect. Key thing IMO is identifying markets where they may not have existed before. If you’re going to attempt to flip low priced items, stay away from stuff that’s volatile and moving in and out at high volume, especially at peak times (SL cloth is the first thing that comes to mind)
By the time you purchase a big amount to flip, a few hundred more have been posted, and most likely posted far below the price you wanted to set the market to.
AH is far from dead. Hell, on some servers the trade goods and consumables might be seeing far more action than they’ve seen in years. However, you cannot approach the AH with any of your old mindsets.
As a suggestion to some of you: try the transmog market, especially if you have a character that knows rare crafting recipes from things such as smithing, tailoring, etc.
Obviously this will be VERY server dependent (RP servers in particular tend to have the strongest transmog markets), but prices for older, rarely farmed mats on many servers have come down considerably. One of my favorite mogs used to run about 3-5K just to craft it. The item was generally posted in the 15-20K range, but in a year of trying I had not sold one. The AH changes brought the mats down to about 600-800 gold. I’m actually selling the item in the 3K-6K range pretty regularly now.
Remember: an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. People wouldn’t pay 15K+ for an item that could be as much as 5K to craft, but 5K is a far easier sell. Old prices wouldn’t have supported that however.
yout hink they would try to make money instead of being super cheap
If we’re talking on the matter of undercutting? Well, that’s been a big problem ever since this iteration of the AH was introduced. People are forever in the mindset that they need to undercut for something to sell when it’s merely a matter of “last in, first out.”
My issues with LIFO aside, EVERYONE would make far more money if they stopped undercutting so damn much. That’s actually where knowing your vendor prices and crafting costs comes into play as some items get so bad that it’s actually quick and more profitable to just buy up everything that’s under the vendor price, then turn around and just sell it to a vendor.
In many cases, it sure as hell isn’t QUICK gold, but it adds up over the course of days, weeks, and months.
As for the crafting part? Same thing. Porous Stone cannot be vendored. The undercutting frequently brings this all the way down to 1 silver per unit. If you’re a blacksmith, two of these make a Porous Sharpening Stone, which vendors for 12.5 silver.
If you’ve got a ton of bag space and LOTS of free time, buy up the entire stock that’s 5 silver and under. Even at the max price, a 10s investment turns into 2.5s profit. I’ll typically park Lilus and start crafting while I step away to make dinner, take a shower, watch a Mets game, etc.
Once again, it isn’t fast gold, but it adds up over time, and if you’re planning to log out for the night anyway then it doesn’t hurt to just park yourself for a bit, craft these, and wait for the game to just log you out eventually. Upon logging back in, just vendor your stock of crafted items.
It is entirely this
Gathering has been a dead profession since the proliferation of botting in Legion.
The only thing worth gathering the past few years was Anchor Weed, because it was so rare that bots could not beat players to it.
