Make the cancelled items sit in your mailbox for an hour. I remember when you sold auctions the gold was in your mailbox instantly. Now you gotta wait an hour. If you made a mistake with a post you can cancel it, but you’ll have to wait to get the item back.

This is a rather unnecessary sentiment. To say that the average player should have a fair shot at selling their items without watching the Ah like a hawk is fair enough.

I understand completely. The game was just fine during the first three expansions without OP auction house mods. It will survive without the reseller plague.

Not if they make cancelling no longer a viable method of running a market (adding a rapidly-increasing cost to successive cancels would probably be the most elegant solution, but there are certainly other ways to achieve this).
Right now, the opportunity cost of cancelling and reposting is simply not high enough.
You must have not played much during those expansion then. Auctioneer has existed since at least 1.12, i used to do a lot of what they do now, just not as smoothly (like you had to manually scan the AH)
Keep in mind that Blizzard has allowed this behavior to proliferate and has only made it worse by removing the Brutosaur.

Probably wouldn’t, if I had to rely on regular players to supply mats it’d would probably be inconsistent as all helheim lol.
I remember. I even remember the guys with the spreadsheets buying and selling. It just took longer to post and cancel. Also… the AH, mailbox and bank were further apart and harder to script.
This is legit the thing that drew me towards TSM, I don’t have to scan the AH anymore?!?! #pepeHype

Super Nah, I’ve literally already put in for the refund on SL, as has my entire family. The AH is my favorite part of the game, and this absolutely makes it unplayable. I have no reason to spend money on a game that’s no longer fun, nor that will outright disrespect me in the way blizzard has. If this isn’t fixed, myself and my family will not only be quitting wow, but also every other blizzard game we play, and we spend an embarrassingly high amount on Hearthstone.

Org ah, mailbox, and bank weren’t really much further then they are now. The mailbox was just in front of what was the bank and is now the hold.
And no, they weren’t harder to script, people just weren’t as good at it as they are now.
We bulk sold, canceled, and every all the way back then, nothing has changed except the new AH.
i would rather if this isn’t fixed everything i have rot away.
