Auction house changes, yay or nah?

I use the shopping list feature in Auctionator. I haven’t been active much economic-wise in BfA because (until recently) I haven’t played very much.

This is a garbage hot fix. Get rid of the multiboxer’s.

Another one who doesn’t want to put in the effort to learn and farm.

I am not stupid and he doesn’t do that, he will undercut until he has a loss. There are people who have tried that with him and they just end up having to repost and lose gold and then they quit posting.

Nope, those same 1%'ers that were sitting at home all day cancel scanning and running their thousands of auctions will still be doing the same thing, just over more accounts. It just hurts people like me that have a couple hundred auction items that I worked for months to build up.

Then he buys their cheap auctions and keeps going like a proper goblin ^.^

Ever since they changed the AH so we can’t pick and choose who we want to buy from, I have hated using it for sales. Even buying, my favorite AH seller on my server is rarely on top so I can’t purchase from him/her.

Yeah, I’ve really disliked this, I always used to buy my flasks from the same person even if they were slightly more expensive

Transmog selling even at current iteration is taking close to five or six times longer than it used to. Most of us have 1-2k auctions for various items even posting 1 of each appearance. This is very sad and unfortunate, I hope there will be reconsideration towards maybe taking gear off the throttle, and/or refocusing on the major problem which is cancelling auctions to repost. I personally think an hour wait after cancelling would be less impactful to the average player. Sad days for wow…

I know that server. I have gained control of certain portions of that market on a new character with no gold to start with. I can imagine what people with 20 million of gold can do to the market on that server.

Funny thing is the Alex Jones is “right” about a lot of issues… he just attributes them to demons/aliens/the Illuminati instead of actual people or screwed up processes. You know that chemicals were literally being dumped into the water supply that were impacting the development of tadpoles, causing them to develop the wrong set of features that when paired with certain behavior characteristics, caused the mature frogs to, y’know. It’s not part of a grand conspiracy of course, just something that was happening. So saying that doesn’t really come across as an insult in the way you intend. I mean… I’m right. I have the facts on my side.

I suggest you try reading.

It’s actions/min so the act of looking up the price for an item also counts against it. You can realistically post about 40 things a minute.

Without TSM that looks something like:
right click item -> click post x108 items

With TSM that looks like:
Click the group that has all my trade goods in it
Click post scan
Click post 108 times

TSM is listing them separately. All it’s doing is looking up the price for each item individually and then just filling in the price I want to sell for based on math I supplied (rather than me sitting there with a spreadsheet). I still need to look up 108 prices and I still need to hit post 108 times.

True.

Blizz doesn’t understand their own playerbase.

So you literally believe the water is making the frogs…yeah okay dude, do the forums still have an ignore feature?

I’ve heard they do, but I think you need like trust level 3

Indeed there are dark days ahead for WoW. Not sure what the future holds for WoW because it looks bleak right now. :frowning:

First off, with regard to the slow markets like transmogs and legacy materials, I think you could fix those complaints without hurting anyone significantly by replacing the 48 hour listing option with a 168 hour (weekly) listing option, with the appropriate adjustment in deposit amount.

Second, I’m pleased that we can see sellers through the sales interface, but we should also be able to see the amount from each seller.

In the purchase interface, we should be able to select our preferred seller to buy from if we’d like to. Ideally, it would be good to be able to prefer sellers from one’s own faction, for example.

If there’s a LIFO queue as some have said, that encourages frequent reposting, though I’m not sure what the best fix to that is.

I think a big problem is that the most recent posted item of the same price shows up highest on the list instead of the bottom. This is totally unfair and is usually why I cancel an auction. It is especially unfair for mats as you can not even choose who to buy from, you have to buy in order of the list. The most recent posting needs to go to the back of the line if they don’t want to post it any lower.

Honestly if you post a bunch of transmog items at once it offsets the auction house cost so it really only makes sense to put the high sale rate items… or have a toon dedicated to post all the transmog every 2 days. This change makes it arduous to do so, it’s already wasting money trying to undercut for transmog. This change is stupid it affects certain markets unfairly and certain professions. Wheras the changes the blizz default had was good for people like gatheres since they can all sale in one stack.
