I really can’t tell if you are trolling or you really don’t see the issue with someone attempting (whether or not he succeeds is irrelevant) to change how someone else plays the game. You can use whatever word (ask, tell, cajole, demand, request, etc)… it all amounts to the same thing… the OP didn’t like something, he contacted the person, and attempted to change how the person approached/played the game.
Don’t be that guy. No one said you can’t ask questions, but it wasn’t just a question… it was an attempt to get another player to play the game his way.
