Iver been playing FFXIV too much.
You are forced to do the storyline in order. You cannot access any of the 2nd expansion content without completing the 1st expansion etc.
Unless you throw money at the game store to buy content skips.
It makes all content relevant to you while you are going through it, mostly because you have no choice.
It also makes it very tedious.
All my friends are telling me how they are having fun in Dawntrail content and Iʻm stuck trying to get through Stormblood content and still have 2 more expansions of quests until i can catch up with them.
If i had a choice i would probably not choose this method, it works but eeehhh…
