I actually like those systems. I know people hate to feel like they need to log in, but I like to get “free” stuff.

If they did it where you had something for 20/30 days or 3/4 weeks - thinking about Lost Ark here, people would eventually get used to it.

I mean if people can stay subbed through xpacs that are absolute garbage, they can login daily for free stuff, no?

I thought there was some neat stuff in there. The flower corsage, the decayed flower offhand, the mount, the pet. I can’t see myself using a lot of the transmog, but that’s what saving currency until next month is for.

The available stuff is going to rotate every month. Like…if you don’t like what’s there this month, maybe there’ll be something you can use your saved currency on next month?

It’s not a pointless grind. You’re getting rewarded for literally playing the game. Like to /love things, we got an app for that. Like old raids, check. Old dungeons, yep. Pet battles, mmmmhmmm. Pvp, indeed. Love is in the air event,mythics, world quests, world boss, siege, hunt. You would have to just log into the game to talk to guildies to get nothing. There’s no additional tasks, it’s just stuff we normally do and there’s something tasks wise for any play style. How in the name of Treesus are you still disappointed? gee whiz

Any sense of “entitlement” is justified when you’re paying for the service.

you’re getting the service you paid for. stop acting like paying a fee entitles you to get whatever you want on top of the contracted service.

I feel like if you are annoyed by this, you are probably burned out and playing too much. Maybe limiting your play time per day? I usually log off when I want to keep playing and it makes me want to play more. Too much of anything isn’t really good, unless it’s ice cream.

I logged on and headed to Stormwind and was super excited, new cosmetics, stuff to do.

Then I looked at the stuff to do for the rewards and got cranky. My thought was, this is just another pointless grind with no substance or meaning for pretty much nothing.

I will take my free points and get the 1 or 2 things I want and ignore the rest.

you do get that this is OPTIONAL crap mostly for CASUAL players, correct?

That’s the sad reality, this is a gateway to more microtransactions for transmogs that should just be in dungeons/raids/world boss drops. We saw this start with the transmogs on the store, and Trading Post will evolve into a paid service (Most BP’s are around 9.99-14.99.) It’s easier to make $ by not spending it into the core mechanics of the game.
