I did one gathering loop around DF and I’m 700/1000. It would be hard to not accidentally complete this.

transmogs completely separate from the mythic raids sets that looks 1000% better too

just like the montetization of Hearthstone, once they realize they actually get the $9.99 from players then they will increase it to $25.00 then $35.00 and then before you know it like a frog in a pot you’ll be paying Blizzard/Activision $100 bi-monthly for pay to win.

but… how?
if it’s not part of the game which people are interested in, why would it keep them subbed?
if there are items people want, they can add them to their list, and obtain them at a later date.
they can then comfortably unsub.
if something comes up in the next couple of months, they can sub when it arrives.
wowhead will list which items are available, people won’t need to log in to see what’s up for grabs.
y’all just like creating cute conspiracies.
I don’t see this as a grind. It is actually a bonus for doing the things you were already doing.

The conspiracy is thinking this is going to become a pay-for-currency system. It is not a conspiracy, it is fact, that this is meant to reward being on more often.
You’re absolutely delusional if you think people won’t get on for these rewards, and even moreso if you think people won’t be enticed to play the game again since, lo and behold, I’m subbed anyway.
I am gonna use your post as a jumping off point.
I will never ever understand the “they are doing xxx to make people stay subbed!” If you don’t want to play a game, why in the world would you care about getting items in said game that you don’t want to play? There is literally nothing they (or any game, or anything in rl either) that could be added that would get me to stay subbed if I did not want to play… seems completely counterproductive to one’s mental well-being. Is it a nice bonus for something I am already going to be doing? Yes. Is it something that would make me say “Let me give them 15 dollars for a game I don’t want to play.” No. That is, to me, pretty absurd.

I see the TP as a reward for staying subbed, which is something people have asked for, especially when programs like RAF are announced. Couldn’t agree more with you. If you don’t WANT to stay subbed, I cannot imagine how the TP would factor into your decision.
