Assassination target capped in new build

On top of having average APM around 28.

Please make instant poison applications give 3 energy while slice and dice is up. The fact that using slice and dice SLOWS DOWN your rotation is insane.

I prefer the assassin playstyle to sub. Pls this. It makes sense.

Having to use the poisons proc 2 energy leggo just to feel smoother feels bad.

Sin is always slow at the start of new expansions.

There’s no reason for it to be. The delta in APM between the first patch and last patch could be smaller if you wanted it to be.

The reason is because of lack of gear.

Sin especially is hit harder at the start of expansions.

Yes, we all know this.

I’m saying that it doesn’t have to be that way.

You could have higher base energy regen and a lower haste to energy regen coeff. You could have energy regen from poison applications instead of bleed ticks and have PPM of poisons be impacted by slice and dice. You could increase the energy regen of venomous wounds. You could have crimson tempest interact with venomous wounds.

There’s so many ways to solve that problem so that the APM at the start is about the same as the APM toward the end of an expansion.

I agree. They could even attach an energy regeneration mechanic into SnD to make it more worthwhile for sin.

They would probably have to tone down mutilate damage to compensate for the higher mutilates done.

They could nerf the haste coeff so you don’t have super high APM at the end of the expansion and then have SnD give energy on psn procs- since psn procs are largely standardized with their PPM, you’d end up with basically
Base nrg
Base nrg + fixed snd nrg bonus
Base nrg + fixed snd nrg bonus + venomous wounds procs (which scales based on number of targets)
THEN you’d have nrg impacted by haste via haste coeff.

If you minimize that last nrg modifier, you can safely increase the first two.

That could work. It also gives more importance to using SnD properly as well.

Yes, tie energy regeneration to poisons!! Get back to the core spec fantasy intent. Bleeds were always a Sub spec thing. Been horrible to play since Cataclysm forward. At least in Wrath when energy regened from Crit it did not mess with rotation or spec fantasy. Dump energy tied to bleeds and get back to poisons please.
