I care as much about him quitting the game as he would care about me quitting the game.
Him and all those hardcore youtube streamers who think they know how this game should work need to go away. This game was not catered to them at release. Slowly over the years they have taken over this game and now all about hardcore grinding and stats.
Because we know roughly how many subscribers he has on Twitch + how many views his videos get on YouTube. That not mentioning the money he makes from the Allcraft podcast and any donations he gets along the way.
The man is making more than enough to sustain himself and his mother while having plenty left over to go into the bank since we know he doesnât spend any of the money he makes.
$100k is an insane level of money. The monetization rates on YouTube probably donât even allow for this. Assuming the Twitch rates are better, but $100kâŚthereâs no way.
Also, he was so pumped he sold a sword on the Diablo AH for $175. Why if he was absurdly rich.
What really annoys me after watching his video is its people like him that have made the game what it is now. Its all about balance and no fun and min/maxing.
Him and his youtube cronies have been pushing this for years. Then they suddenly find out it results in the game being no fun unless you are a statistician and are upset about it.
It just reminds me of that crazy uncle that is always picking fights and arguments with people then gets upset when everyone gets mad at him.
They asked for this type of game. Blizzard listens to them, now they suddenly find out its not fun.
This is what made vanilla so special. It was a cool world to explore. The balance was bad but man it was fun. Now? Better start reading those endless charts for MAXIMUM efficiency. Thats all this game is now and people like this idiot are to blame for it.
He will probably make more money off his supporters trying to convince him to come back. Then he will be back because of their support to make even more money off of them.
Whether you like Asmon or not, this should be pretty concerning for the community. Big streamers like him provide a lot of extra exposure for the game. If people like him are this concerned over Shadowlands and the overall direction of the game, that should be a big red flag.
Overall, I think WoWâs problems lie in Blizzardâs design philosophy. People who are constantly entrenched in the game may not see it, but if you spend any time playing some of the other big MMOs, the difference in design thinking is glaringly obvious. Blizzard just simply does not listen to their playerbase. They base their decisions on metrics and data predictions instead of player behavior. The changes they make are focused on how they think the game should be vs. how their players want it to be. This is their biggest flaw. WoW will NEVER reach its former heights if Blizz does not start listening and place their player community higher on the priority list.
I like asmon, I watch his streams but honestly before classic comes out he used to say great things about it now he literally despises that game and its community and if it wasnât for his guild he wouldâve deleted the game. Iâm just trying to say even him doesnt know what he wants like he is always complaining about the game and that became part of his personality like he wants to play a game that provides him with content 24/7 on demand like NAME A GAME that could actually do that? none. unless you play a complete sandbox game where you have to do your own content like Albion online a game with politics and drama because people have to create their own content or sea of thieves but he doesnt wanna try any other game and literally almost cries when someone brings up that he should play something else or FF14 or ESO he legit cries like baby
Also he doesnât PVP or mythic raid so he is like the washed up people at durotar compalning about the game like he doesnât consume the content provided by the game and then complains that the game doesnât have anything for him!!? maybe play another game
Yeah, I wasnât really commenting on Asmonâs own personal issues with WoW and other games. Thatâs for him to figure out lol. Itâs more the patterns Iâve started to notice in the criticisms Asmon and others have been bringing up. Heâs not the only one dissatisifed with the overall direction of the game. And beyond just WoW streamers, there are many former WoW players that talk about the same issues. Issues which ultimately led to them leaving the game. When you have several people bringing up the same problems, thatâs a red flag that something is fundamentally wrong and that maybe Blizzard should reconsider some things.
He was pumped because that was WAY before he was successful. That was YEARS before he was successful. So that is a stupid way to judge his income and tells me you have no idea what you are talking about.
He gets about $3 for every sub on Twitch and we have seen him get as high at 40k+ subs
Thatâs not including the donations he gets from viewers
He makes money off of the Allcraft podcast
His YouTube videos are regularly 20+ minutes long and average over 100k views per video
The man clearly makes alot of money. Iâm not sure what your hang up is about him, but just because you have something against him doesnât magically make him earn less money.
