No it’s not the same thing. Asmongold isn’t sending this channel $500 to show his video and get 50 thousand views from his swarm. He isn’t even asking permission. That’s something that would have lawyers from the studio shut your butt down in less than 24 hours and have your assets frozen and seized to pay losses. But these are little people he’s robbing so they can’t afford anything like that.
He is literally stealing the movie, and broadcasting it without paying the licensing fee, then trying to justify it because some of his people go and “buy a copy.” (click or subscribe the channel)
You’re actually delusional. Someone tweets out that your Grillhouse has delicious food and you get an influx of customers. Well that’s stealing shouldn’t have done that, if you want to know how good it is you should go there and eat it yourself.
Most of the stuff he shows isn’t original content so they couldn’t do anything about it anyway, it’d be like me playing WoW, making a video on it, then telling someone else they can’t watch because it’s mine. When it reality it’s Blizzards content, you’re just reacting to it.

Someone steals my food off my servers station, serves it at their restaurant, gets paid for it, then afterwards says, hey that Grill house is where i got this, it’s really good. You still stole it, even if i make money off new customers.

Except those videos are free, if they weren’t YouTube would require a subscription or they’d upload it to a platform that requires payment prior. You do realize you don’t get paid for YouTube videos until you get monetized right?

Path of Exile and SWTOR, I’ve got to get back into those. (PoE, I have my first alt stuck at the first city, doesn’t look good getting past the undead. SWTOR, my first alt is stuck at the first starbase, and I don’t know what to do. Also, I forgot the password and can’t get it to reset. )

He’s going to play New World from Amazon instead. While I agree that it’s 99% guaranteed that he’ll be back someday, it’s not unheard of for him to take a WoW break to explore other games.
