I mean everyone who says he NEEDS wow to make viewership doesn’t realize he got most of his popular clips from streaming Dark Souls.
Look at the dates on those videos, then look at his follower feed counts. Wow was a 14 fold multiplier.

First of all, my account is older than Ion.
Second, i actually don’t care what way or another about the guy, but he tends to draw the worst of this community to him, and if he can draw them away to another game, GOOD.

Public content is public content, he’s said numerous times if someone doesn’t want their videos on his stream contact him and he’ll stop watching them, just like he did with Nixxiom

Those iphones aren’t free to the public, try a better analogy you’re making yourself seem just as dumb as you sound. Now if he was showing peoples PAID videos on his stream for free, then sure.

IMO lots will quit if SL is bad. You can’t have 2x trash xpacs in a row and expect customers to stay. I’m really scared about SL. BFA was horrible. Legion was OK. WoD was HORRIBLE after a few months of game play. I just don’t trust the WoW team anymore. MoP and before was great.

They’re not free, they take time, and the electrons to click on that video. It’s ALSO how those people get paid by youtube.
When Asmongold takes those clicks away, they don’t get paid. It’s theft.
Now to be fair, he does make up for it by having his team go to their channels and subscribe. But that’s all him. He doesn’t ask permission, he just does this. It’s theft he justifies after the fact.

I truly think they don’t have the subs at the moment to start SL. People are so disappointed in wow and Blizzard atm. The attitude off “”" Don’t you have phone""" was Blizzard start of it’s downfall if you ask me.
Blizzard actually had record profits this year, “admittedly probably due to covid,” their MAUs are up across the board, including WOW.
Children can we say marketing ploy?
