Asmongold going back to retail

What a joke. Years of talking up Classic like it was the Second Coming and he abandons it only a few months in. As if I didn’t already dislike the guy, now he comes off as entirely disingenuous.

To be fair, he has more /played in Classic than most people put in a single expansion.

That is understandable, but we haven’t even received access to BWL yet and he’s gone already, less than halfway through Classic’s lifespan. He just comes off as so fake for abandoning the same game he cried for, begged for, against all odds, for years.

You’re fooled easily. He’ll be back for every single patch.

his problem is that he talked too much crap on a pvp server and he streams so the other faction knows where he’s at at all times because he streams. if he switched to a pve/rp server he’d be better off. from what i understand in this thread. anyway. it wasn’t the smartest thing he could’ve done. lol

It was always meant as a museum game for those who never played vanilla, or wished to relive the experience. It’s not meant to be a constantly updating game like retail.

I dont think people are grasping the fact that he has 30k+ viewers to keep entertained/happy, hes not some 500 viewer andy who can camp theramore for 8+hrs/day

Right now classic has a content drought. Hes not gone forever, and he’ll be back every patch. But he’s gotta think about his job first over the game

I saw what happened… I was bored today and started watching WoW streams and saw him on with 30k viewers. He was in a raid with 40 ppl, taking over typically camped spots… fps in EPL, searing gorge… etc

All was well till the moment they stomped a small group in BRM. His raid sat there for a little bit till someone called out that the horde was pushing in. So when their 35 men or so raid went outside to check it out they were met with about 150 horde. LOL It was actually just funny to me bc I knew they were moving too fast for a reason. They would take over fps all over eastern kingdom then move on to another one… I figured thats bc the horde was about to show up at some point… and they did.

Its just what it is now in classic. Way too many horde players and nothing the allies can do about it.

But the funniest part about Asmon ragequit is, it was mainly for people flaming him on his stream chat (probably horde players). I mean he talks so much sht… the guy is litreally a drama queen… but then gets offended when someone trolls him in his stream chat? lol like wtf… how can u be an ahoe and not have a backbone at the same time? I agree with him 100% on whats going on with the servers. But the fact that he can be such a flamer and such a wuss at the same time baffles me.

Not really. He built his brand over the course of legion. I started watching him all the way back in 2014 for his achievements guides. Then I saw he streams whenever nighthold was released. He grew so much traction in the last 2 years it is pretty impressive!

He doesn’t upload anything from his streams, those are fan created pages. He’s fully aware and supports people to leech off him, he’s feeding like 4 families lol.

Not a fan of asmongold much nowadays. But I just wanted to clear some misconceptions I see a lot on here.

Right now? This is every version of the game until Legion… its a 2-4 hour a week raid logging game.

So much for the “earned rewards” of vanilla being a thing.

The goof had all his fan boys frothing at the mouth to give him gold, gear, patterns… basically everything.

His meal ticket dried up real fast in classic. The game is rapudly dying just like his patheitc stream that is full of incels.

Wait til his fans find out his “girlfriend” is for hire…

He has something like 10 full guilds. 1000 is the guild cap from what I heard.

Your server is now going to die, and you will have noone to PvP against when BGs hit. Enjoy the ghost town. Crowing about “dominating” when it’s been a 70/30 split is pretty cringy…

Can’t say i ever felt bad for the guy or any streamer for that matter, especially when they choose to put their stream up, broadcasting their location and server (doesn’t really matter if you try to censor those or not, you will be found out), and then they get killed in a pvp game where… players kill other players.

I don’t want to get into a soapbox opera of why i don’t abide or take that rule seriously at face value.

I thought the world is big?

I thought you guys wanted all these people to play your favorite game and have a nice community?

I thought the mount speed is slow compared to Retail?

To be fair, watching WoW in any version on a stream is just boring. Maybe it’s just me and being kinda bored of WoW in General (hence why i’m mostly playing other games), but watching the gameplay of WoW, isn’t really all that exciting to me. It also doesn’t help if theirs some talking head on the bottom left corner screaming into their mic at every munedae thing.

I thought he was on Faerlina? Either way, props to the horde who drove him off :joy:

like it or hate it ,every streamer care only for their own $$$ income. They will flock unto the latest and greatest game for views.

some streamer acted like petulant child because that bring much controversy and thus more view…

i mean , look at this youtube guy boogie with his alter ego Francis. Some ppl watched francis alter ego and think it is real person…

Oh shirt. Should i unsub now or something?

Why do I need to know that?

In any event, he’s Alliance on a PvP server. I don’t doubt he’s having a hard time with things, if the other thousand threads are any indication.
