It’s not just this one off thing that people are upset about. It’s a compiling list of consistently broken / poorly implemented design choices for this entire expansion so far. To my knowledge, there hasn’t been a single patch since expansion release that didn’t either break something, or didn’t implement something that needed to be adjusted a week or two after. It’s frustration with the on going slop being spilled onto us.
Its about a 18% chance the longest I went without one was 8 runs
a little dramatic? he lying though his teeth is more like it. he had 20yrs to quit the game and recent patch was worse than this and he still here. Most of us don’t dismiss complaints because most of us agree with it. there a reason he post that comment on a non-90 no gear alt, because someone will call him out on his BS of quitting the game
What about people who completed the raid and are now locked out? That’s 9 shards we just don’t get? Wildly unfair
ey lemme group up on your runs ROFL
Considering it took five weeks to open the void Forge and another four weeks to open the Nilhammer having to continue waiting for drop rate adjustments is just punitive to players.
On top of all the other problems that you already listed. ![]()
Or days, or mere hours, because they never tested it properly. If it had been tested at all then many of these things wouldn’t ever make it live. Waste of everyone’s time, including the devs getting hit with emergency overtime fixing something that could have had 2 weeks to knock out.
Add the ability to upgrade trinkets from Normal raids. I tried to get a trinket from Heroic, but it never dropped. I don’t really feel motivated to play Mythic+ this season anyway, but by playing on a Disc priest and running my own key once every two weeks, I still managed to reach 17 Rilith. Today I thought I could upgrade my healer trinket, but it turned out I need at least the Heroic version—why? What’s the reason for this?
Heroic raids are just as easy as normal raids at this stage of the season. I didn’t get the trinket from a heroic run I tried, but I don’t want to farm it—I have other things to farm in this game. Please give me a chance to upgrade my trinket.
Make sure you relog.
Once your delve track is at like 8 or 9 you start getting (seemingly decent) chances at the gear rolling as Hero track. Delves already leapfrog people to full Champ gear within a few days. I don’t think we need to have it be to full Hero within a week.
rip my heroic lockouts
Right. To be clear, it is absolutely a studio and c suite issue not a dev issue. And I do feel bad for them.
I’m not disputing this and haven’t as you can see from my post. Patches have been buggy and whatnot, it’s annoying and I get that. It’s people saying the sky is falling all the while they have shard(s) in their bags.
Please let me upgrade my trinket from a Normal raid. I haven’t been lucky with loot in Heroic raids, and I don’t have the time or motivation to run Heroic raids—or any raids at all—this season. I just want to take my time, when I have the energy and at least some desire, to play M+ during the first Midnight season—to actually play M+, rather than watching myself fail to get the gear I need from Heroic every week.
Let me thank my fellow players in advance for the testing phase that’s about to occur on these hotfixes.
The recent guardian swings are 100% a dev issue. When you start buffing and nerfing core abilities by triple digit percentages its a clear indication that the team implementing said changes do not understand their product.
Its not a testing problem. the shards drop. it works as intended. The problem is that the INTENT is stupid.
At every turn lately, Blizzard fails to implement 2 step thinking. They know they going to have ‘powerful foes’ drop them, but they dont think much about what powerful foes are, or how frequently they should drop. This is evidence of AI at work - it lacks context. Any human looking at this UPFRONT BEFORE RELEASE should understand that a mythic raid boss, or a +10 key is going to take more time and skill than a t1 ritual site, and thus should reward shards at a higher rate. Content that is per week shouldnt be variable drop rates, but they are. Personally, I’d question why a ritual site was even on the list at all.
What an awful system all around - the shards don’t even go into reagent bags like sparks lol
The whole thing, from start to finish, has been one big fail. This is once again just another transparent ploy to keep people subbed by stringing us along with more gear power. God forbid the entire season release with all its systems from DAY ONE
What do you think leads to a dev team not having time or focus to implement things properly?
