As much as I hate MM hunters and think it should have received significant nerfs months ago, If that happens its just mage every game.

Don’t forget the ret paladins. In fact, they should limit the entire meta with a specific fee; at least that way they can justify their complete inability to balance a game they’ve been developing for over 20 years. And those who play outside meta might find an explanation for why things are more difficult to them even when playing at the same level as those who play the meta class, if both pay the same for the game.
this is the sad part. it wouldnt be left like this if it were first patch of an expansion, for example.
Is this better or worse in your opinion? i have a major historical bias against 1 shot damage turrets that make you feel dead 100% of the time if you dont hide. i just prefer that those specs are mid / bad b/c they are anti fun to me lol

Completely understandable. Current MM, necrolord frostmage, BFA S4 destro & firemage with corruptions, Convoke boomy, and 1shot ele shaman are all historical examples of this.
Honestly it’s much worse. There is ZERO reason and NO excuse for letting balance outliers exist to the degree they have for the duration they have. However, there will always be a few “best” specs. That being said, it’s at least better that there are TWO strong specs that can counter different comps with eachother as that creates a slightly more balanced game in which more classes and comps are viable. If you nerf hunter (which you SHOULD) but ONLY nerf hunter (should NOT), then it’s just mage + X EVERY game.

Iirc, this is when you could just sit there and terrorize the arena with endless greater pyro spam in between busts. Idk if i can think of a better example of a single ability creating comically asinine gameplay.
Understood where you’re coming from here, and im sure wed both just agree to fix all of it. The focus on MM, id assume, is just because its ever present in all of the casual modes as well. Like i decided to learn survival hunter this week, just so i understand what its doing.. go into BGs and just get railed for 9 mil aimed shots from half a mile away, and its just F. im just trying to play!
