As a tank in Mythic Plus, leaving bad groups is so satisfying

Heck, I hit desperation tonight cause I forgot I hadn’t run one yet. Didn’t have any available guildies. Opened LFG, hovered over a group that was ready to go with a key that I wanted, thought twice and logged off. There’s always next week.

as a 11/12m/m+ tank not seeing a lot of “hypocrisy” aside form the suposed mythic tank hiding on a wow classic alt like dude if your a tank you should have big enough balls to post on your main and take the heat

Ha, I lived this in BC and Wrath. (Maybe beyond it gets fuzzy) it was great being able to have a head start once my guild was ready.

I’ll bet my paycheck that they don’t tank at all. And are just nothing but a dps class.

Yes! Filll your soul with that toxic hypocrisy! BECOME what you were destined to become!

hahaahah I had a tank basically trash talking to me as healer when I did low hps on a 6 because nobody was taking damage…

I answer him “didnt know I was doing a dungeon with method players”
he answers “really? have fun tanking this”

and leaves the group.

He basically trashtalks for no reason and when someone answers back he cowardly leaves.

To have “tanks” like that just don’t tank at all.

Really all depends on the pug leader. I pretty much ran all of my pug raids in Legion and that just comes down to smart use of the LFG tool. A good pug leader knows that they should never take their group out of LFG and constantly relist it to ensure it stays at the top. If you do that you can replace practically anyone in literally seconds as you typically have a pretty lengthy wait list of players to choose from.

That DPS that has forgotten to run their marked AoE mechanic out of the raid for the 3rd time? Gone and replaced in 5 seconds.

That healer who barely parses higher than 10k/HPS? Gone and replaced in 5 seconds.

That tank who for some reason is incapable of tank swapping correctly, poof gone.

Eventually you end up with a refined group that can blitz through the content.

Although like I said, this is only an advantage at the beginning of tiers. Guilds will eventually have a raid on farm and with the same group of players you know what to expect… When you live the pug life you’re attempting to clear a raid with a new group of players every week and you can never be certain of their capabilities.

And our guild is like a family, they came into town for me and my wife’s wedding, etc. It just works out for us.

I can’t name how many of these threads I have read now, from tanks, from healers, from damage and I am forming a theory that it is the keys that are causing the toxicity.

I always felt sufficiently bad about the idea of leaving that I’d wait for the healer to leave first.

People are just as bad in every other area of the game. It’s a player problem.

As a healer, it depends on the remaining time investment if i’ll leave a group or not.

If the group im in is so catastrophically bad it’ll take an extra 20 minutes to finish from where we’re at currently, im leaving. Not worth the small impact to your mental health and you could clear another M+ more than halfway through by the time your current group limped to the finish.

FYI there is no such things as queue time in m+.

Also try trolling better next time

IDK, i feel like the timer compounds it. In raiding you’re limited by your time, in M+ the game itself is limiting you so you feel rushed, and more agitated if someone wastes that time.

Woaaaaaaaaah there big boy. You sayin it’s the garbage game mechanics that are creating an environment that promotes the latent toxic behaviour that lies within everyone???!

Sorry. We don’t take kindly to people spouting such absolutely objectively correct information on GD.

nah its the toxic players themselves that cause the toxicity.

All I do is pug keys and I cant even remember the last time I had a toxic group. Sometimes people leave keys and thats it. Last one i can think of was like in 8.1 or 8.2 with an angry dk tank.

But that’s anecdotal, but hey I remember very clearly some instance where people were toxic in raids. Literally one this week in a pug M nylotha, angry dk.

no toxic from me. just stating that by the sounds of it hes could be a tank that rages at the first sight of something bad happening.

it happens alot in lower pug keys. i death or bad pull and the tank or/and healer leave

Can’t even imagine the sheer amount of anger to be witnessed in a Mythic raid PUG.

I stop myself at Heroic and even that can get tense when players consistently fail at something.

But concerning M+, yeah. I’d say of my hundreds of M+ runs ~92% have been completed with zero issues.

Generally i’d say the belief of toxicity in M+ is extremely over-exaggerated.

The guy accusing people of being toxic is toxic

Go figure

With every bad pull you are pulling away from your tank, you are getting closer, and closer, to realizing your true destiny! YESSSSssss! LET THE DPS TOXICITY FLOW THROUGH YOU!..
