As a new players to SOD, runes are a massive pain

I mean if I was with a bunch of people all wanting runes and helping eachother get them it would be fun but that is not the case. I hope they change something for lvl 10 - lvl 40 runes.

They’re really not that difficult with the exception of a couple.

/who [insert class] [insert level range]

Find someone in your range and PM them to ask if they’d be interested in helping get the rune(s) if you’re unable to do them yourself.

Really not as hard as you’re making it out to be.

Thanks for sharing.

i would say if you played since the start , runes are something you just naturally got.

if you diddnt keep up with the alt each phase it is kinda a pain to go get the ones you dont have as most people arent in the level range of those runs that you need (wild offerings im looking at you) so you have to ask your guildies to run old stuff .

stuff like that i could see just being made to be on a vendor or something.

really the only ones i see that arent current that should be kept as are the ones you can do solo or ones with actual story to them like the warlock meta quest or whatever.

i wont call it gatekeeping to expect people to go get the runes that we all had to get , but i will say some are alot tougher to get now if you dont have connections or gold to hire people to help.

alot of people feel like that part of the discovery had a time and place and its past that time now and should be remedied.

they do need to do something about the runes for alts/newer players. Believe it or not, I’ve run into quite a few new players asking for rune help.

When leveling alts, I couldnt even find someone to do the healing rune that needs 2 people that you can find in the starter zones.

I’m new too but, maybe it’s because I play alone end-of-night for me but my experience has been the opposite. I’ve really been loving the side track adventures it takes me on ^^

Tonight’s and last night’s play sessions took me from Darkshore to Stormwind, then from there to hillsbrad and WPL and Silverpine and Duskwood, all to get Shiving, Envenom, Deadly Brew, and capping it off with the Touch of Zanzil quest to learn poisons.

I suppose if you’re in a rush to get from A to B to get a chance at raiding current prog it could be annoying because of the time restraint, but if you’re just in it for the experience to see what happens, runes can be a nice break from questing.
