Yeah, cool-looking armor and weapons tend to be the most satisfying rewards anyways, and it’s nice for each class to get a chance to be “special”. It’s something that always inspires me to play a new class (or at the very least, give consideration to it; I just hate playing a Druid, but even I was tempted by the new forms they could unlock in the Amir’drassil patch).
I believe that if a DK is a blacksmith, he ought to be able to forge a personal Runeblade and it should be hard to do. But doable.
Lukewarm take: class quests should just be a thing they make periodically. Having your characteristics matter is a big thing for immersion in a rpg. Death knights being able to make special runeblades or kill and reanimate specific villains or monsters for class quests would ironically make the world more alive.
i would only really see this if it were a DK only mog with some sort of non power related effect or if you could alter the mog over time at the runeforge
nice kick us while we was down.
Completely, 100% agree. I LOVE Class-based quests. The Fangs of the Father questline for Rogues had some of the most fun quests in the entire game.
Things don’t have to be “equal” all the time. Maybe each patch, two or three classes get a cool little quest with a bit of world-building and unlocking a snazzy new cosmetic of some kind.
You actually trust Blizzard to be fair about this lol?
