I actually also enjoyed having a great guild back in OG wrath when RDF was available as well. I’d log on grab a guildie or 2 and que. We never sold a spot in a run, never booted anyone with an odd ball spec or never failed to say hello or chat if the others in the party wanted to. Socialization works best when it’s actually friendly and organic than forced or in your case paid for.

You bring up a scenario where Horde died on an Ally server 2 years ago and somehow some guy was dumb enough to stay even WITH a free transfer full well KNOWING there is no RDF only to complain about lack of groups.

Either transfer off for free or reroll fresh, you don’t need to be dramatic about a PLAYER ERROR.
Mega Servers are GOOD for the game, they allow you to play with people at ANY time of the day.
This would solve ALL your problems if you moved to one.
Both types of socialization can exist where one is more restrictive and demanding of skill and gold while the other is more relaxed and takes anyone.
You experienced the one where they are casuals and I experienced the one where they are more hardcore.
BOTH exists WITHOUT RDF.
RDF will COMPLETELY change the dynamic of BOTH of those experiences and force EVERYONE to just queue with randoms.

Nope, it doesn’t work like that on Retail. You cannot go to Retail right now and find a REGULAR dungeon group in LFG chat, it is all but dead.
The only thing that makes Classic unique is LFG chat.
