We are on Classic, there is no M+. LFG chat is how we make friends, RDF will render LFG chat useless like how LFG chat is useless in Retail.

LFG is the chat to Look for Group. Not a chat to make friends. It is not called “Looking for Friends”.
RDF will make the LFG chat easier to read for those that want to make group manually, in special for raids.
LFG chat should be the ONLY method of finding ANY group, this is what makes Classic different from Retail. All RDF would do is ruin LFG chat like how it ruined LFG chat on Retail.
It’s a CLASSIC MMO. The whole genre is about making relationships.
Why the ONLY method?
If anyone had any question about who wants to gatekeep players from entering into dungeons, read this post. The anti-rdfer wants to prevent you from getting into a dungeon.

We do NOT have M+ so that point is moot, no one uses LFG chat to find regular dungeon groups anymore.
Classic is NOT Retail, we use LFG chat for EVERYTHING and that has been the case for the past 4 years.

My friends and I will play together but one of them can’t I will NOT be able to find a pug because 99% of the playerbase will be AFK in Dala swiping for gold and buying boosts while spamming RDF all day long.

Keep your Retail mechanics in Retail where it belongs.
They should put in a vendor that gives you 10k gold when you talk to him. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to use it. It’s not mandatory.

That is a great point actually, watch he will have nothing to say but insults. That’s what these pro-RDF type do when cornered and bested in an argument.
Imagine if in that situation you could just list your group get someone and enter the dungeon happily.
Or a situation where your friends aren’t online and you wanted to run a dungeon and you could instead use RDF.
That or he’ll just straight up ignore it. I’ve dealt with his ilk for a long time now. When confronted with facts that dispels their narrative, they typically just run away in order to protect their false narratives. It’s akin to a child plugging their ears and screaming at the top of their lungs.
Or we can just not have RDF at all and we can play the game as we have been for years now, if it isn’t broke then don’t fix it.
Except your proposal limits everyone’s gameplay because YOU WANT to not have a different option.
