Im not really sure it should be to be honest. To be fair though I always hated one time event rewards especially if they were not tied to difficulty.
If you earned something under the same conditions as someone else the fact they did so earlier shouldnt factor into it. The "promise " and given its blizzard those quotations are earned was made when the content was not expected to remain in the game.
I’m not arguing the new rewards are not enough they are quite nice I just feel the time argument a cope out.

Probably not happening, look at Rhok’delar, or Benediction/Anathema.
IMHO, ever since 310% flying was no longer tied to the fugly drake of the Long Strange Trip achievement, I don’t think anything should be unobtainable anymore.
I spent a whole active year on every event for that, only for them to just make it the new default and usable with every mount.
That’s more dedication than farming old raids with one shots, or simply “being there” when the stuff was available.
Keep “FOMO” items as rare drops if you must, but not unattainable.

No it wasn’t. They outright said when they announced the return of the mage tower that the original rewards were not going to come back because they would respect the time sensitive nature.

I think the challenge skins should be unlockable now, honestly.
The mage tower isn’t prestigous at all, its more of a measure of when you played. You could afk half of them in heroic dungeon gear after tomb.

Right im saying they shouldn’t. If the challenge remains the same i can’t really come up with a good reason to deny them. Its snowflake syndrome in a mmo.

I’m sorry, but they should actually just delete the broken Ashbringer skin, and pretend they never made it. That thing is the ugliest skin of all the skins, it shows no effort and frankly makes the game poorer by just existing.
You’re doing more things than just doing BoP when working toward the appearances. Tier 19 appearances and mounts.
Or, and hear me out, it’s Blizzard keeping their promise that they made and breaking it would set a horrible precedent.

Hell I recall when they announced wow would never have a cash shop because it was to high quality. That mattered more to me then a mog.
Edit: lets take that further… path of titans, dance studio, all of classic.
You can say you like time exclusive rewards I won’t agree with you but lets not pretend this is about blizzards honor.

I’m not pretending it’s about Blizzard’s honor. But nothing time sensitive has ever come back. When it’s said to be time sensitive, it means time sensitive. There’s nothing wrong with that. PvE needs more time sensitive challenges, imo. Not less.
