I dunno if you want to melt the Frozen Throne. It fell from the Twisting Nether with a bunch of weird armor in it. Drinking it will probably give you buboes.

Wouldn’t the water just flood out and sink half of Northrend? That’s a lot of ice.
Arthas of Blizzard’s past would have warded his citadel and surrounding lands somehow.
If Arthas was the villain today…he’d be knocked from the glacier and would promptly break his neck and soul from tripping over a rock despite falling 20,000 feet beforehand and surviving, and it would be called a plot twist.

Illidans plan to stop the Lich King was literally to just melt icecrown. Malfuiron stopped him because Malfurion exists solely to thwart illidan.
