wasnt he before attack of the clones
Blizz can’t copy what wasn’t written yet. Unless there was a book somewhere that told the story of Episode One prior to Episode One’s official book.
Of course, it wasn’t a new story anyway. There have been countless through history of men falling to corruption and their own destruction.
Attack of the clones released in 2002, the Frozen Throne released in 2003
Like it or not, shadowlands happened. It hasn’t been retconned or changed.
Arthas is gone. He came in like a lion and was out like a fart in the wind.
“No king rules forever” let him go.
Sooooo…there’s a chance he can come back?
Who in turn was a copy of Doctor Doom.
And like it or not the story can change. Blizzard reversed the whole “No more Aspects” they can reverse this.
Clearly Blizzard cant let him go considering we are getting new content for him.
It’s not new content, it’s a reminder of events that already happened.
And I didn’t say that it can’t be changed. I said it hasn’t been.
As things stand right now, arthas is a blue puff of gas somewhere in the maw. Everything that made him the wannabe Darth Vader he used to be is gone.
It’s more likely that Illidan will be back than arthas.
Jaina isn’t single and lonely she has a big green tool to deal with if you mean…
Redeemed from what? From the drunken lore makers of shadowlands?? Sylvannas was always an anti-hero, the nonsense they throw her into makes no sense at all.
The ideal never dies for example, Garrosh, they killed him just for envy, they keep Thrall alive to dismantle the spirit of the Horde some Ally lore makers just decided to kill Garrosh but he is still alive because doesn’t matter the goals of the "new’ blizzard because the spirit lives forever.
Horde is freedom and they will not control and systematize us.
Sylvanas: -runs to players- “Champions! I’m ba—”
Arthas: -appears resurrected by the Naaru and inadvertently incinerates Sylvanas as he manifests back on Azeroth. His soul wisp vanishing was simply that, being pulled off screen by the Naaru.- “…What is it about her always power-sliding into me…? Ahem! Rest well Windrunner.” -looks to the heroes, hefts Light’s Vengeance 2.0 up- “I’m here to help.”
-fans of Warcraft erupt into cheers and laughter-
…
How do you know this?
It is still new content because we get to see Arthas’ side of the fight during Icecrown. And as Morgoht mentioned these Lorewalker Cho memories were choosen for a reason, they are preludes to story events concerning their subjects.
I have no direct proof, but I feel confident in my assumption.
They physically can’t unless they grab him from another timeline or universe.
The sl trash can writing team made absolutely sure he could never come back. One of my biggest salt points of sl actually.
If this leads into Dracthyr Death Knight fine by me.
The writing sucks.
lmao.
Who in turn was a copy of a character I created in the future that time travelers stole!
We are also getting BFA timewalking. That doesn’t mean Rastakan is coming back.
Just cope with your undead kind going out like a lamb.
Blizzard has proven they do not mind destroying lore. Perhaps they can destroy the lore that took between BfA and DF. Then we will have both Arthas and Sylvanas back. It would be even more interesting if they were to return as fully living, the Alliance could use a rambunctious & headstrong king these days.
We literally watched his soul fizzle out of existence in the shadowlands. He’s so gone he doesn’t even get an afterlife.
This is not timewalking though and unlike timewalking this isnt just us revisiting the past. It is us getting new lore about the past that will likely influence WoW’s future.
Sound to me like we are just doing the raid but arthas is green instead of red. If that’s the case events will still play out the same.
Don’t get your hopes up for some big return to relevancy.
