It was extremely disappointing in my opinion. They teased Arthas making an appearance. Arthas and his story was one a great game storyline. And they just said forget about Arthas. “May the last whisper of your name fade.”
Danuser is really butchering Warcraft Lore. They did so many characters dirty this expac. I understand they want to move forward with a new vision and a new direction, but they dont have to just hack job what came before.
They should have paid Arthas some fanfare and if they were going to give him a send-off, then actually give him one. Not a little ball of light fading away.
And again trying to prop Sylvanas up. Giving her this epiphany where she compares Arthas to Herself. And that her bad deeds are hers to atone for. Sylvanas was once an interesting and complex character. Then they did Shadowlands to her.
I think they could have left the Arthas portion of the cinematic out and it would have been decent.
The disgusting and despicable woke clown world that Blizzard has become is on show for everyone to see.
To have such a brave and stunning wahmen in Sylvanas tell the 35 anima pool of Arthas “You’ll be forgotten” - all I can say here is F you blizzard - I’m done, I’m gone.
At least Garrosh got a proper send off. ‘‘No regrets, for the horde, I would do it again.’’
Arthas just got victim blamed by someone who willingly submitted to his abuser.
i feel disgusted at the disrespect from the writers , meanwhile people keep on giving blizzard a pass, what is their excuse? covid ? its unrelated to this travesty .
I’d say thats probably the best sendoff they could give while acknowleding Arthas was still technically in existance. People were expecting something crazy like Arthas coming back and hitting the Jailer with a steel chair and that’d just be ridiculous. He dieded, he wasn’t gonna come back.

i expected respect from a legendary character from canon but it seems we gotta take wow as non canon and call it a fan fic or something , with the lack of respect from writters feels like weve being playing in game of thrones season 8 for the last 6 years.
