We’re still waiting for the servers to come up so we can try out the new character customizations and other features available. Hype hype hype!
As things were relatively quiet before, pre-patch usually brings a number of people back into the game. We’re hoping to see a lot of old faces and friends pop back online after a bit of a break. A lot of us needed a break from BfA, but it’ll be great to have some new content!
We are always recruiting and looking for Roleplayers to join our ranks. Brand new beginner Roleplayers, Roleplayers that have been at it since launch (or before!), and many many many in between! We’re a friendly and welcoming group, keep drama to the minimum, and prefer to keep our guild chat fun and light-hearted. We keep the focus on FUN, no matter how you choose to play the game.

Prepatch has been out for a couple days now. Everyone seems to really enjoy the new Customizations. Lots of guildies have created new alts to level up in the new questing system to level 50. Dungeons are still a great way to go, but seems they have been scaled up in difficulty some. Take it easy on your healers.

(That’s tomorrow!) The Court of Lions will be hosting a “Worgen in the Woods” RP event at Darkshire. A fun game of mob justice! This was a hit last year. Discord (listening) use required for explanations etc!

Spooky Story Night at the Graveyard in Redridge Mountains, across the Lake from Lakeshire. We’ll be telling scary stories around a campfire after dark! (Inky Black Potions encouraged!)
Thursday the 29th at 7 PM:
We will be hosting this year’s Hallow’s End Masquerade! All Roleplayers are invited to attend! This year at Warlords of Draenor Garrison, dress as your favorite villain! Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Costume Contest! Gold, mount, pet rewards!
Every Thursday at 8 PM:
Community Tavern Event in Boralus at the Fireside in Upton Borough just North of Unity Square. This event is hosted by our allies from Templars of the Rose and is walk-up casual Roleplay. Everyone is invited!

We’re almost 2 weeks into Shadowlands and we have a good number of guildies already 60. We also have a good handful trying hard to make ilvl to start raiding, or have already surpassed. We have a pretty full looking raid roster, but of course there is always room for more.

With so many people still actively playing new content, there has not been much Roleplay aside from the regular weekly Thursday tavern nights. We have an In-Character RP Guild meeting coming up on the 13th. We all amass at our HQ for news, information, announcements, events planning, and of course Promotions!
Whether you’re new to the game or to Roleplay or PvE, The Court of Lions is a fun and welcoming environment. We all mess up, we all have to start somewhere, but it’s nice to have some friends to help along the way. Mostly PG guildchat, casual and chill PvE, Light progression, plus Discord.

The majority of our guildies have hit level 60 by now. We have 2 solid Heroic dungeon groups, plus a handful of people into Mythics+ already. Our raid team is slowly but surely coming together, as ilvls creep upward. Currently we are in need of Healers.
On the Roleplay front there hasn’t been all that much outside of Thursday evening Tavern Nights at 8:00 PM Realm Time (EST). Hosted by our closest allies Templars of the Rose. In game /join CourtoftheRose on Earthen Ring to find out which venue we’ll be at this week.
Guild-wise, we are stronger than we have been in a good while. We’ve seen a good number of guildies come back to game, along with a whole lot of others. We are officially DOUBLE the size as we were only 2.5 years ago! Woop!

The Court of Lions is still actively recruiting members. We’re a social Roleplay guild that likes to keep things fun and light-hearted in game, along with a bit of endgame PvE like Mythics+ and Light Progression raiding.
Currently & specifically we are looking for another healer or 2 to join our ranks for raiding and general PvE and awesomeness. We are looking at beginning raiding Castle Nathria after the New Year and Holidays. Most of our PvE members have already gotten their ilvl where it needs to be, or beyond.
For RP right now we are holding a Fishing Contest in game. A point each for Iridescent Amberjack, Pocked Bonefish, and Elysian Thade. The winner gets 50,000 Gold in game and a mount of their choosing. There is more info plus rules in our Discord and on our guild Facebook.

We’re getting to the bitter end of the year 2020!
We’re planning to start up our Light Progression raid team after the New Year, probably Tuesday the 5th or the 12th. We’re still seeking a couple of healers to fill out our team, but any class and spec is welcomed to join us.
Roleplay will be returning after the New Year as well, with Thursday nights starting at 8 PM EST (Realm Time) Tavern Night hosted by our allies Templars of the Rose.
The Court of Lions is currently holding a Fishing Contest to fish up the fishes required for feasts. 1 point each for iridescent amberjack, pocked bonefish, and elysian thade. Winner takes home 50,000 Gold and their choice of mount. We have all the rules and info posted in our guild Discord and on our Facebook.

The Court of Lions grows almost daily, and we still seek Roleplayers to join our ranks. Whether you’re completely new to RP, have been Roleplaying longer than some of us have been alive, or somewhere in between, we have a spot for you. The Court of Lions downed Shriekwing in Castle Nathria this last Tuesday after our 3rd refresher attempt! We also got a few good pulls on Huntsman Altimor so people could go through the mechanics and see the fight. We got him down to 59% after a couple of tries, we’re hoping to get him tomorrow night!
We could still use a Backup OT, another heals, and of course more DPS to fill out the ranks. We have a good, solid team right now. Good communication and positive attitudes, no yelling, no calling out if someone messes up, no staring at DPS meters, etc. We’re chill, when we wipe we learn from it. We might be strangers irl, but in game we are all friends.
Roleplay wise we will be holding a Guild Storyline event next week on Wednesday, giving our non-raiders a chance to have their hand in clearing out the Castle.
And of course there is still the weekly Thursday night Tavern Events, hosted by our closest allies Templars of the Rose, led by the wonderful Arialynn. They are a bit more hardcore when it comes to PvE, if that suits you!

Last Tuesday we one-shot Shriekwing and got Huntsman down lower than the previous week. Here’s hoping that tonight is the night we down Huntsman!
Our approach to raiding is a bit different than most. We are “light” progression which means that we plan to do progression raiding, but we are not hardcore in anyway. Meet the ilvl, show up on time, get your flasks and foods, and try your best! We don’t call out anyone if a pull or fight goes badly, we instead use it to learn what we can do better next time.

This week The Court of Lions not only took down Shriekwing, but Huntsman Altimor this week for the first time, AND we killed Hungering Destroyer after our 1st look! We’re now 3/10 in Castle Nathria! We’re hoping for a re-do next week again, and maybe hit up a 4th boss to kill. We have also been invited to raid with an allied guild Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights, and an opportunity Thursdays with the Earthen Ring Raiding Alliance community.
In the meantime, ilvls keep creeping upward and we still are running Mythics. As always we are seeking more players to join our ranks. You don’t have to PvE and you really don’t even have to RP, just have an interest in some social RP and be a decent person.
That’s really our only rule: don’t be a d*ck.
Roleplay storylines are still ongoing with plans to involve more people and guildies very soon. We also have a Mr Wiggles night coming up, which means nothing to any of you! Mr Wiggles is our guild mascott, and new members are ranked as Mr Wiggles, to “care for” our Mr Wiggles’ every need.
Think of it as a pet battle that gets Roleplayed out, but it’s all piggies! Last year during Noblegarden we even had a wedding for Mr Wiggles and now Mrs Wiggles. We’re nuts like that.
We like to have a good time, keep things light hearted and drama free, and people just tend to get along here. I like to recruit good people, those that like to help out and play with newbies, glad to help out a guildie, participate in events etc!
And speaking of Events, one last thing! We are holding our February Gathering Contest right now! The person that donates the most of the needed meats/fishes/flowers has the chance to win the Terrified Pack Mule mount (or a handful of others to choose from).
Today we announce the winner of our month-long gathering contest our guild held during February. The winner has the choice of several mounts, most rare is the Terrified Pack Mule. We regularly hold contests and giveaways like this. Plus it helps to buff up our guild bank with flasks/potions/feasts/etc for raid night.
This last week Tuesday for our raid night The Court of Lions managed to 1-shot the first 3 bosses of Castle Nathria, and put a good dent on Lady Inerva Darkvein for our 1st look. It might sometimes take us a good handful of tries on a boss fight, but once we have it, we have it down!
We could still use another healer or two, and a backup Off Tank plus any DPS ranged/melee.
And as always, we are still and always recruiting new Roleplayers to our ranks. From the total beginner just beginning to learn, to the RP vets that have been RPing longer than some of us have been alive! We have a bit of everyone within our guild, and that just adds to the wonderfulness. I might be a little biased, but I think we’re pretty awesome.
Been a minute since update, there’s a lot of people taking a break until 9.1 so things are a little quiet in-game. We are still raiding though! Currently we’re 9/10 in Normal Castle Nathria, and we were so close last week!
We are always open to new guildies, and even guild allies to join us whenever we raid, or PvE, or PvP, or RP, or anything/everything we do.
Raid-wise we could use another healer, a backup off tank, and any DPS.
We are light progression, as in we are doing progression but pretty casually.
Last night Tuesday was our raid night!
After 3 weeks of struggling on Sire Denathrius, we killed him on our first attempt last night! We are now 10/10 in Normal Castle. We went on to 1 shot Heroic Shriekwing, and got Heroic Huntsman after a couple of tries. Not sure that we’ll continue with Heroic as we are casual at best, but we will farm Normal for a bit for gear, achieves, etc.
We are always looking for new Roleplayers and family to join our community. As stated in the previous post, every guildie is invited to every event. Raiding so long as you meet the ilvl requirements you are in.
We don’t yell at people, we won’t call you out for making a mistake, we’re not checking meters. We are very laid back when it comes to raiding (and everything we do, really).
Patch 9.1 comes out on the 29th, just 5 more days! We’ll be seeing more and more people and guildies return for patch day, and then we will likely pick up Dungeons and Raid nights again. We are super chill when it comes to PvE, we don’t yell or call out or stare at DPS meters. We mess up too.
We have our next gathering contest soon to be announced, which will end on July 25th, our Roleplay Summer Picnic to celebrate our 12th year anniversary! The winner of the gathering contest can choose from 12 different mounts! 12 mounts for 12 years!
For our 12th annual party, we’ll have mounts, pets, gold, and a store item for giveaway! We try and do this every year, and then finish off with a spectacular fireworks display! So patch has been out for a few weeks now and a lot of people have gotten their flying. Finally we can fly! And mount in the Maw!
Right now as far as raiding goes, things have been quiet for PvE so for now we are just doing Mythic dungeons and Keystones. I expect to begin raiding again once the final wing of Sanctum of Domination opens up in LFR. This gives everyone to experience the fights and learn some mechanics if they choose. This also gives us ample time to work on gearing people up. Looking at ilvl 215 to raid this round.

And now to address the elephant in the room: the recent news of the lawsuit filed against Acivision Blizzard vs State of California. The charges are damning, and it has left many players wondering where they stand. Many have quit the game entirely, or taken part of in-game sit-ins, or mass log-outs. Some people have continued on as if nothing has happened. All of these are okay, but as a guild we support the women in the lawsuit, and hope to see heads roll and big changes made before long. We also respect each other’s decisions whether to stay or go, to take part in in-game protests, or protest another way. So things have been quiet, adding this on top of an already lackluster expansion.
We will be here, I will be here. I plan to stay in the game, to support the women who still continue to work at Blizzard, and their former female employees. I am also glad that it has raised this topic of conversation, as likely every single woman has experienced this to some degree.
Sexism and other -isms are not welcome in my guild. Our guildies are accepting, friendly, helpful, and to ALL guildies. That’s my 2 cents.

Our Realm and Guild have taken a pretty big hit between Shadowlands being Meh for some, and the recent Activision Blizzard vs State of California issue. The Court of Lions still stands as we are hanging on best we can.
We’ve still been managing some casual PvE, doing dungeons and Mythics together as a guild group. This week is Emissary of War quest to do 4 Mythic dungeons and receive a piece of Heroic raid gear.
We are still and always recruiting, and now opening up recruitment on our Wyrmrest Accord branch, same name, same faction, same GM.

On Moon Guard we just announced our monthly Gathering Contest, to gather meats and fishes and flowers to make feasts and flasks in preparation for PvE! The winner will receive 15K golds and their choice of Xiwyllag ATV and Mekgineer’s Chopper.
We’ve also just getting started running dungeons and PvE on Wednesday evening at 6 PM Realm time (CST) or 7 PM Earthen Ring Realm Time (EST).
Our hope is to bring our guilds on Earthen Ring and Moon Guard together, to be able to run more Dungeons and eventually Raid together and of course MORE RP opportunity! If we can’t beat them, join them.
Just an update to let everyone know we are still here and we’re actively recruiting on Moon Guard! We’re implementing a cross-realm guild chat for our guilds on Earthen Ring, Moon Guard, and eventually Wyrmrest Accord.
We had our monthly In Character guild meeting last night at our HQ Westbrook Garrison in Elwynn Forest, and we discussed the state of our guild and the state of the game. Guildies are excited to potentially be “pulled in” for RP on actually populated realms.
A reminder that we have a BIG Hallow’s End Masquerade party in Duskwood on the 23rd of October. Originally it was supposed to just be our guild, and then it grew to include everyone from the realm Earthen Ring, and now we have our guild on Moon Guard and will be inviting everyone here as well!
There will be tricks and treats, costume contest, rune reading, scary stories, haunted riddles, mind reading, games, and of course PRIZES! Keep your eyes peeled for our Hallow’s End bash! It’s going to be a great time and nobody will go home empty handed!
