Arms or Fury PvP Dragonflight

Any warriors out there know if Arms or Fury are looking best for PvP going into DF. Arenas or BGs. I’m not too sure what spec to play anymore. I usually main arms cause they are generally best for arenas but it looks like Fury is getting some nice survivability. What are any of you playing.

I really like the arms tree especialy if you take the middle route down, tons of pvp oriented talents (vers buff, parry, heals) and the bottom is bladestorm and some killer BS modifiers.

Its nice to get impending victory across the board but am a little disappointed ignore pain was ignored for arms and fury…oh well

Fury is looking absolutely terrible with the latest beta build updates. Reckless Abandon is going to have a limit of 2 empowered bloodthirst or raging blows. Odyn’s Fury previous empowerment node no longer empowers raging blow for 6 seconds and now just gives a basic enrage and reduced Odyn’s Fury cd by 10 seconds.

Just play arms and don’t even think Fury exists as a pvp spec.

I was just thinking about all the healing it seems to have. I try to imagine a warrior not needing a pocket healer.

I think the self healing is a lot better too. My main was ret, but gonna switch to fury since they are terrible now. I think fury is the move for pvp cause i like a class that doesn’t need a healer in every pvp scenario.

i don’t think it was that bad of a change. I thought it was at first but if you read it right. It is pretty much to buffs separate things in reckless abandon. It gives 50 rage and on its own, every time you rampage, your get two empowered raging blows or bloodthirst. This is good, cause it gives better sustain outside reck.

Oh actually did not notice the rampage part of the changes to abandon, that’s actually pretty good now. Warriors getting a little more self healing helps but they definitely still need a healer in most aspects of PvP, losing ignore pain so there was a bit of a tradeoff there.

Fury dmg in PvP is still a glaring issue but I really think Siegebreaker should be put back on the tree instead of Onslaught for some damage amp windows. The damage just doesn’t feel there right now on live or beta, Odyn’s Fury damage is extremely underwhelming in arena and that’s what replaced such a powerful utility skill like Bladestorm. A little bit of a bump tuning wise or Siegebreaker returning would go a long ways to make them feel fair and not hit like wet noodles.

yeah, im stuck between maining dk or fury. And yeah I have to agree. Fury damage sucks right now

I didn’t really notice heals, the one I got forget the name from the auto talents they give you barely heals for anything as arms.

The heal every parry? Yea def unerwhelming…or maybe the talent were deep wounds heal for like 50% (havent tried yet)

Ultimately i feel squisher as arms currently and that may be due to how powerful some classes have become in arena (dot classes shred me) however imo loosing ignore pain was much more significant and the passive healing and vers gain dont quite match up.

Warrior is absolutely miserable right now in terms of damage. The utility is great, arms feel clunky and hits like a noodle, fury without bladestorm feels strange in pvp. The healing feels overall less without ignore pain and nerfed impending. Armor values are at a disgusting high of 52% physical damage reduction meanwhile on the beta its 33% at max DF S1 PvP Gear.

are you on beta? is fury damage still bad at 70 with full gear?

I am LOVING arms in PvP with the utility and self sustain. The damage however does seem undertuned. Im either hoping to build enough from Condemn to keep pressure up or lately I have been trying to stack Str+ trinket with Colossus Smash with NF covenant attack + Spear from Talents + Bladestorm. There is at least a window where all of the cds can smack, but then im back to tickling the enemy (especially bad against these damn bear tanks that ignore my damage while spamming one aie ability for 100k, thats been rough)

Its definitely way better at 70 with full PvP Gear. It still might be undertuned in the grand scheme of things but scaling is better, armor is less damaging, tier set is good (and fun), it just sucks right now.

It was kinda unfair to remove IP AND keep Def stance in its post nerf state of 10% damage reduction and 20% reduced damage done.

I am getting absolutely annihilated by warlock dots while not even putting a dent in there absurd absorbs and high hp.

Every one is getting one shot by lock and dh, but yeah, ignore pain was a very good spell and appeals to class fantasy.

Fury damage on beta is like legion, Fury of Odin plus others cds, and now if you want you get 3 charges of raging blow, the burst damage is insane, the sustain damage not só much but you get short cds

I boosted a warrior after coming back to WoW and have been really enjoying Fury in casual PvP. It felt kind of bad at first when I didn’t have any PvP gear but it feel like I have decent survivability and can focus people down now. Of course, these are just casual/unrated games so I’m not sure how good it will feel if I push into harder PvP content. I’d like to try Arms but I’m having quite a bit of fun with Fury at the moment.
