Yeah from logs Arms is actaully doing really well in keys, even as Slayer.
Never ceases to amaze me how you every time move goalposts, try to change subjects and undermine other opinion based on rating and get big mad when its done to you, stop being a hypocrite lol
I will repeat again, people commenting here, mostly, dont care if the spec is performing absurdly mid to be in a solid place in m+, they don’t care about your logs, they care about the spec being fun and feeling good to play and arms dont
Your inability to differentiate the two is the bane of this forum; your also utterly complete inability to see anything past m+ as well. the spec need to perform good and be fun in every content, dont give a duck if you do them or not.
the spec could have 2 skills, that you can press every minute, and deal giga damage to a point that you stay in a solid place in m+, doesnt mean it would be fun/good to play
You clearly have no reading comprehension skills at all then. That’s the type of suggestions I’m always against which you are all for and actively promote them in threads.
The current way that Arms plays is not an issue at all despite the scapegoat you make it out to be for the initial poor tuning Arms was in for the start of the xpac.
It is a well formed cohesive ability priority that differs from the 2-3 button specs people spam the same button for 5 times in a row before they go to the next. Reducing it to next to no abilities like you keep campaigning for is ridiculous.
so now you are just going against reality, gotcha
The current way that arms play is a issue, for a lot of people
you dont think it is, that’s your pov, your bellybutton is not the center of the game.

Thank god you are not the person responsible for arms or the spec was going to be even worse, like isnt already awful compared to past interactions
the spec is prob in its worst state ever compared to the overall game design
Ah yes, the loud minority that calls for the removal of their no CD rage dump as the end all be all fix for the spec. If they want mind numbing gameplay they’ve got plenty of other classes they can play instead.
There’s no words approved for these forums to describe these people.
You mean the loud minority who does m+ is fine with arms?
how shocking
Cause the biggest community are the lfr heroes you try to sh1ttlak earlier
The same people who calls for a rework so the spec doesn’t need a lame rage dump, yes, that is correct
Imma say again, cause your ego might be the problem here:
you are not better because you think you are playing a crap spec.
You are the first person to say that arms is not complicate nor hard and keep saying other classes are “mind numbing”, yet arms is no different.
you cant keep your own statements straight
Let’s get one thing straight here before you put words into the mouths of others they have not said.
No spec in this game is hard to learn play at all.
This game is pretty easy when it comes to understanding the base gameplay loop of each spec.
A spec becomes mind numbing when you’re consistently pressing the exact same buttons for way too many times in a row.
Death Knights and Demon Hunters are mind numbingly boring because you press the same keybind 4-6 times in a row way too often in a row.
Arms and Fury are not mind numbingly boring because when they press their buttons at most they’ll use the same ability 2-3 times in a row at a maximum only when certain conditions are set be it a cooldown window that is opted into for AoE throughput (Crushing Combo) or procs within one of the hero talent trees (Burst of Power). Even in those situations they don’t end up devolving into spamming a second button 2-3 times in a row they tend to use a different ability every gcd.
This is what separates Warriors from other classes, this is the gameplay people who like this class and have stayed playing this class enjoy. People who suggest Warriors should play like a mind numbingly boring class just because they’ve had a good tuning cycle and we haven’t for the very beginning of one patch are tourists to the class at most and have zero grasp on how that spec functions.
so just like arms who consistently press overpower, mortal strike and slam

Yeah you are just deluded and biased
That sums up your entire comment and post history
dude rly thinks adding one or two more abilities in the same consistent and boring spamming manner suddenly make warrior the apex of “piano playing”
The order you press buttons matters if they alternate vs if you slam the same one way too many times in a row.
The fact that you still cannot comprehend this is mental.
Another Syegfryed vs Greìl fight.
Can’t say they don’t love their mains, with all that rage being spend ![]()
I prefer Arms over Fury myself. More used to Arms for one, hence the reason why I survive better with Arms more than Fury. It is a LoLz thing.
I like the IDEA of a disciplined and tactical warrior over a frenzied berserker. That is just me.
Do the specializations actually play in thus manner . . . . eeeehhh.
the fact that you still think there is a big brain difference and that order make that much difference between specs again, means you dont play other specs or you are just that far deluded.
Honestly absolutely no clue why I keep getting roped into this nonsense when everytime it’s the same result, speaking logic to someone who cannot understand it and doesn’t even reply to the context provided. Even the following I’m about to reply to is just lacking any thought at all in their argument it’s crazy.
I honestly question your mental capacity if that’s your response. It’s very clear that if someone doesn’t like pressing the same button 5-6 times in a row they will steer clear of those specs and they will instead chose to play a spec that alternates abilities more often.
Realistically who in their right mind would play a spec or class they do not enjoy? You would have to be not right in the head to do so, wasting your own free time on something you hate.
WoW is a video game, I only play specs and classes that are fun to me and those gameplay loops I mentioned are not fun so I do not play them.
If people don’t find the Warrior gameplay loop fun (tuning excluded), play another class it’s that simple.
you cant evaluate mental capacity when you think arms is that far different from other specs related to buttom spamming
Again, you are biased and deluded, high on your own farts pretending you akshually are better than the people who play “spammy mind numbingly boring” classes
Anyone have alts to so see how other classes/specs play, even to understand how they play when you play with them or against them
but of course, that concept is alien to someone who only does PVE for the logs.
Or we suggest changes to make the spec fun to play, and if you dont like it how it turned to be play another class
isnt that simple
Because im right and that hurts your ego, just cant let it go
Usually if I die before the tank or heals it’s because I stepped in Stupid. Otherwise we’re surprisingly resiliant for not having a self-heal outside of victory rush.
I’ve gotta disagree with that one. While I don’t always agree with Griel, they are responding to a few people that are critiquing a spec based off their feeling when they don’t have the actual “life experience” playing the spec to know the difference. It’s like a 5 year old boy saying “girls are icky” and then growing up and realizing maybe they’re not so bad after all.
From personal experience, I was getting extremely pissed at our spec, but as they’ve corrected things, I have started to change my opinion. I am still not thrilled with my performance in some fights and M+, but I am aware that it is MY performance, not necessarily that of the spec.
So… my (and their) options are: 1) Get better at my spec, 2) Bitc… I mean.. Complain and whine on the forums w/o actually putting in the effort to get better, or 3) Sit down, be quiet, and go color somewhere in the corner. ie: play a different class/spec.
9 times out of 10, the average player’s “feelings” about a spec are heavily influenced about where they are on the damage meter. I know that definately impacts my enjoyent because I want to positively contribute to my guild’s progress. That is heavily impacted by how familiar they are with the rotation, how much they have to look at their keyboard to figure out what to cast, etc. That can only be corrected through muscle memory. Knowing what to press when and how. Arms is not a simple spec to play well. It’s not like some of the classes with a 2 button rotation and 1 or maybe 2 cooldowns. For a class “post trimming” we have a lot of crap going on:
Sweeping Strikes, Rend, Colossus Smash, Ravage/Bladestorm, Mortal Strike, Overpower, Heroic Strike, Execute, Demolish (for some specs), Slam, Avatar, Trinkets, Heroic Leap, Charge, and if you spec into it: Shockwave, Spear (and the leap to it), Spell Reflect, Intervene, etc.
ALL of these are used in M+ / Raids. Its a lot of crap to keep track of if you are planning to play at the optimal level.
If they don’t like it, fine, go play Fury or Ret, or a flavor of the month, but otherwise at least work a bit on getting your rotation down.
Griel’s point is we have people doomsaying about the spec without actually putting the work into learning it properly, and that requires playing it, even when you suck at it, until you either stop sucking, or find a class that works better for you. We have a lot of people, that pick it up, realize it’s not a Ret Paladin 3 button spec, and when they can’t just faceroll the instances and top the meters, it must be a spec issue instead of a lack of skill issue.
Thats not like that at all
And again, you don’t need experience in mythic raiding to feel if the class gameplay experience you are playing is good or bad
He doesn’t understand that some people don’t give a duck about performance in m+, something that can change with tuning, but the gameplay and how the spec plays, the theme, the visuals and everything else
Of course, there is PVP who play vastly different from M+/Raiding and he and other pve andys like to prerent is not relevant so it have to be dismissed all the time.
Oh definitely, the main reason they are defending the spec right now is because is fine number-wise, doesn’t matter if it plays like crap
Also the reason the spec doesn’t get a proper rework to fix it and bring into the modern design other specs have
a lot more is used in PVP btw
Or, the spec should be proper designed, to remove some unnecessary stuff and becomes better/more engaging/fun to play, who reflect the modern game design, and if they dont like, they can play another class
Yeah, I admit I don’t PvP. Outside of doing the training grounds so I could get my ring, I probably won’t go back in. But I hate how interconnected they end up being. There are a lot of sections where changes come in and they say “does not affect PvP” but I’ve seen a lot of PvP nerfs spill over into PvE and vice versa. Like Piercing Howl. The speed run was great but then they nerfed it because of the run buff and trashed the AE slow aspect.
I don’t have that much of an issue with the playstyle. There are some tweaks I would make, and changes I would prefer to make it smoother, but over-all the playstyle isn’t horrible. Its just really not forgiving. Slam doesn’t bother me, but having to take and use rend in order to have any kind of rage gen is frustrating.
I get that, but I am not talking about Mythic raiding (We usually shoot for AoTC). Even normal/heroic raids and dungeons exhibit the same issues. You’re not going to do well if you can’t get the rotation down. Again, tweaks need to be made, but they’re at least working towards correction (I hope. Please Blizz don’t make me a liar). A lot of it is getting it down to muscle memory.
Yeah, the problem runs een deeper than that.
that’s the gist of it. We(when i say we, i mean people like me discontent with the spec) still play because isnt horrible enough, but its pretty bad compared to any other spec, so every time you play another spec it pills up frustration to “why the hell warrior dont have something similar”
Its just lame like how every other class have better slow mechanics and we have a dumb hamstring, or when we still have to auto attack for resource when no spec does that, or that we have a lame rage dump that its just that and nothing else.
So we constantly suggest changes that would make the spec plays smoother and tweak in the right direction but is faced with people who want to play the current interaction and act like they are better for not playing the other “numb boring specs”
You’re doing something wrong. As arms I’m topping dps in m+
Once again your inability to read has lead you to misinterpret and reply with something nonsensical.
There is no point playing alts you do not find fun to play.
The class is fun right now, changing it to something that already exists elsewhere means less options for what different people find fun which will ostracise players in the long run if you make everything the same. It’s not in Blizzard’s interests at all to make every spec a variant of death knight that presses one button 5 times in a row, then a second button 5 times in a row before going back to that first button repeating the cycle.
Wrong. Gameplay is an aspect I look at moreso than tuning. I’m one of the few who has shown they’re able to separate their feedback on gameplay vs tuning from what I’ve seen on these forums. There are a few others but most players like yourself see Arms have one bad season start and then blame everything on the spec rather than an awful tuning metric it was placed in to begin with. The fact that if Arms had an amazing start of xpac tuning position 99% of you wouldn’t even have posted a single word about it.
Pointless no thought posts from tourists with absolutely zero idea on how to even play the spec have then since cropped up blaming different abilities for this without cause, be it Rend which is fine as a maintenance DoT or Slam which is a no CD rage dump that some people have cried for it’s removal.
By all means there’s nothing wrong with casuals providing feedback but there needs to be some accountability here before someone spouts nonsense.
