Thanks for correcting me that’s a post I missed. Then it’s clearly not working as intended. But when it comes to Blizzard it seems nothing is nowadays. QA has been going downhill for quite some time. It wouldn’t surprise me if this system is a bit buggy
I have several people on my btag that have had it drop on say their 5th or 7th run of the day.
possible reasons for this:
lots of people who are unaware that there is a new mount, who are getting the “old” mount on a consecutive run, believing that they’ve obtained the only available mount.
not paying attention to when dailies have rolled over
Or the system has bugs is another possibility and it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case. Most of the people on my battletag have been here since 2007ish. They already have the old Mount and are well aware of the differences between the two there would be no mistaking them.
With that said… Thanks to your clarification above, farming the new Mount on multiple toons would be relying on a bug. I would not advise this.
you’d be surprised how many OG players still don’t have the original mount.
