Do we have any news regarding the specific rating required to obtain each arena title ?
They said they were moving away from % based titles but as far as I know, Blizzard hasn’t announced the actual rating required for each title.

They only said that for rank 1 if the people that would receive rank 1 were below a certain threshold.
Glad & R1.
My bad, I thought Duelist/Rival/Challenger were also brought in line with the change.
Did I miss Blizzard update on the flat cutoff for R1 and Gladiator or will it be announced after the season with us having no actual way to prepare ourselves for it ?
I don’t think it’s posted anywhere officially, but there are several websites that do a good job interacting w/Blizzard’s API to gather that data, that they seemingly (?) have.

Your guess is as good as mine as to why Blizzard doesn’t have an active running cut off for this despite announcing it. Would be great if they put someone to the task of updating it, but highly unlikely we get that type of focus.
Yes, I know about those website.
That being said, they predict the cutoff based on the previous % tied to the title.
R1 → 0,01 %
Gladiator → 0,05 %
Duelist → 5 %
etc.
Blizzard explicitly stated that both R1 and Gladiator title will be awarded from a flat cutoff instead of being % based.
Would be fun to have more info about it. Currently well above top 0,05 % in 2s, but if the season ended today, I would have no idea if I would be getting the title.
I’m just hoping Blizzard will clarify the way they will proceed before the end of the season
So… retail glad system… iE get something like 2400 and that is glad then? Kinda ikky if so.
Its nice they are no longer making it stuffed full of alts tho, that part is really cool.
It’s what pretty much everyone assumed, but it doesn’t appear to be the case as nobody is running around with this season gladiator mount. My guess is they will give the reward as the end of season but will use a flat cutoff for R1 & Gladiator. That being said, so far, we have no idea what the flat cutoff is and on what it will be based.
A flat cutoff in 2s would have drastic impact on the amount of Gladiator as the rating is really far from being as inflated as it is in 3s right now.
Yep! That’s a really nice change.
Perhaps its a certain rating and awarded at end of season? Like a mix of the retail method and MoP?
Use the in game goblin boards, they’re updating now.
They are % based.
Still waiting on a statement from Blizzard - not so easy to plan the end of the season when we don’t have know how titles will be distributed…
I guess we won’t receive any info until 2 week notice eh
Yeah Blizzard gave up on PvP on MoP classic.
They won’t even do any sort of class tuning for it so trying to get one single dev to give us any sort of information is extremely hard to do.
I asked Zirene about this and he said:
"The numbers for Flat Cutoffs have not been published, but I would say to not count on them changing anything.
They kick in if the old title % cutoff is LOWER than the new flat cutoff number. It’s a minimum number of titles given out for low pop Seasons, and this one isn’t."
So basically there is no real need to change anything, Ironforge is more than likely accurate on what the cutoffs will be (for now at least.)
